The lineup is half AAA, lol. A week in and we’re dropping like flies…. again.

Winn hit it on the screws, but right at the LF’er.

Lynn loves his taters… Three long balls and the Cards are down 4-1.

Bell just rang Lynn’s bell with a man on-board and just like that it’s a 3-1 Marlin ballgame…..oh oh we’re not done yet as the next batter Jake Burger Rifles a homer to left making it 4-1 Fish.

Don’t know if this is noteworthy or not, but Lance has grabbed the ole’ family jewels 3 times that I’ve seen during this 5th inning. Since the camera is not obviously on him all the time, you wonder how many times he actually grabbed them? You know it could be a sign that Lance is tiring……and the results this inning sure reflect that. It might be something for Oli and his staff to keep an eye on in the future.

Gotta cash in now. Seems rude to decline them helping us score.

Two straight breaks with Siani getting hit and Aroez blowing a golden DP opportunity by throwing the ball into left field. Runners at 2nd & 3rd and nobody out. Have to take advantage here. Scott is at 2nd base……a ground ball just might get Victor home from 2nd.

Fish get one back and it’s now a 5-3 Miami lead heading to the bottom of inning #6. Anthony Bender, the 29 year old righty out of Petaluma, California the new Marlin pitcher. Anthony, like some many others, has had Tommy John surgery. You would think the innovative doctor would get the credit for coming up with the surgery that has done so much over the years for so many people. Yes it should be called the Frank James Jobe Surgery and not Tommy John Surgery.

This Burger kid looks like he’s wolfed down a few burgers in his day……but nothing on par with Lynn’s eating abilities….and speaking of burgers, this Jake Burger has already planted 2 way up in McDonald’s land today…..let’s hope he doesn’t indulge in a 3rd.

Sixto Sanchez the new Marlin hurler here in the bottom of the 7th, with Miami leading 5-3. Haven’t read Sixto’s bio yet, but you have to wonder if he’s related to Sixto Lezcano in any fashion?

Herrera a one out rbi single to center cuts the deficit to a lone run….and that will send Sixto to an early shower.

Pitching change: Andrew Nardi now pitching.

Gorman doubles to right scoring 2……6-5 Birds and they’re looking for more.

Burleson singles in another….7-5 and looking to inflict more damage.

Winn triples in Burly and suddenly this one is taking on the face of somewhat of a late inning laugher…..at least it has me giggling.

That’s quite the large grin our trainer is displaying while checking out the home plate ump whom just got whacked on the mask with a wicked foul tip……might just be a combination of the cold weather and a natural dislike of umpires.

Need some late game shut down pitching. This is where the good teams rarely give a game away.

I’d suggest bringing in John King out of the pen, BicycleMike………………………..if we can tack on another 10 runs next inning.

If we tack on 10, you or I could take the 9th and bring this one home.

Nice work by the Frito Bandito, Mr Romero.

Was not a fan of the deal we made getting him for Edmundo Sosa. But have not heard much about Sosa. When the Phillies signed Trea Turner, Sosa was not needed.
