Have to admit that I didn’t think Steven Jakob Matz had it in him any longer. He’s been brilliant. Even if he gets lit up next inning, I would still be excited about seeing his next start.

That 3-1 Stone pitch to Contreras was right down Broadway….
I wanted to whack the darn thing myself. Luckily he walks on the next pitch and the Dodgers must have seen the same thing I did…..Stone is gassed and heading to the showers.

Alex Vesia your new Dodger hurler.

Sheesh…Runs it to 3-1 and then pops out into foul territory.

Vesia walks Walker putting runners at 1st and 2nd with one out and we’re at a crossroads in this game. Quite simply, if we score this inning we will win this ballgame. If we don’t we’re toast.

Haha…You don’t think a 2 run lead will hold up, Pugs? Me either…

Scott walks to load em up. Love Scott so far…..hope he never sniffs Memphis.

Nope TD, NEED to score here.

Somebody else’s pen having walk troubles is so refreshing.

Yeah, I like him better than Tony Scott.

Ouch! Winn whiffs……this game is totally resting on Donovan’s bat here.

Donovan hit by a pitch and we just won this ballgame.

Dodgers with a runner at 2nd with one out and one in and Matz is exiting this ballgame with a 4-1 advantage here in the 6th. He can win it but rightfully cannot lose it.

Andrew Michael Kittredge your new Cardinal pitcher.

Oli with the good decision to pull Matz after 5 1/3. Let’s see if our pen can get him the win.

Oh oh, Kittredge promptly issues a walk and a Muncy base hit to right and that loads the bases to it’s capacity with Dodgers with only one out…..let’s stay with the action shall we?

Outman – come on Kitty…..get this guy! He hits a little nubber out in front of home plate that Kitty gloves and then just lolligags it over to 1st to get Outman by a whisker…..can’t pusyfoot around like that, Kitty!

Lux – Flies out to Scott in center to retire the side and that inning could have been much worse. 4-2 Redbirds.

Another reason to hate Marmol: Fernandez has yet to pitch and Pallante warmed three freaking times ladt night to leave the bullpen shorthanded. Gallegos has also pitched 2 straight days and Helsley threw 20+ pitches

I know Betts doesn’t make many outs, but does he ever make a quiet out?

Pallante mows them down 1-2-3 in the 7th.

It will be interesting to see how OlliMo handles the pen to close this one out.
