Thank you for your interest. Hopefully they will resume soon.
June 18, 2023 at 8:54 am #224827Is there a reason you can share why they have stopped? Hopefully nothing tragic….
June 18, 2023 at 3:01 pm #224885Danny Mac has been busy with more important matters. I will be ready when he is.
June 18, 2023 at 3:17 pm #224891Well then the first show back should be a real doozy!

cardsfan64ParticipantWell, 2 1/2 months since the last “Weekly with Walton”. Any chance we will hear one before Sept.? Not trying to be critical, I just enjoy hearing the info!
August 15, 2023 at 12:01 pm #231592Danny Mac has stepped away from these as well as Ben Fred Fridays. I honestly don’t know if they are coming back. Thanks for your interest.

cardsfan64ParticipantBrian, I am really sorry to hear this. Your insight and info helped me to stay connected to the Cardinals, especially in the minor leagues. I hope you are able to find another outlet or podcast to be a part of. Thanks for your work!
August 22, 2023 at 1:15 pm #232234Thank you. I can always create my own as it is not a technical challenge, but I prefer to stay with Danny Mac if possible.
Does anyone have a business for which they’d buy advertising time on a podcast?
February 21, 2024 at 5:38 am #242900I am very pleased that Blake Newberry has agreed to be my co-host every week on the new Wednesdays With Walton, posted right here at The Cardinal Nation!

cardsfan64ParticipantSo glad you brought back “Wednesday’s with Walton”! Adding Blake was a nice touch as well. He has some great insight and knows a great deal about the minor league prospects. I will be a regular each week!

dblackParticipantAwesome information with a personal touch because of video. Tone of discussion is very relevant and you do not see or hear that in print. Loved it…
February 21, 2024 at 1:01 pm #242910Good luck with the show Brian.

stlcard25ParticipantWednesdays with Walton is one of my go to listens each week. Excited to see it return!

jj-cf-stlParticipantVeteran leadership not lacking at The Cardinal Nation
February 21, 2024 at 4:30 pm #242914I enjoyed it, too.
February 21, 2024 at 6:32 pm #242921Thank you for the encouraging words, everyone. I appreciate it!
February 28, 2024 at 6:54 am #243185This week on WWW, @bt_newberry and I discuss ramifications of Brandon Crawford as the backup SS, STEP Campers in #STLCards games, review 6th starter candidates and the early favorites for the back end of the pen, including Blake’s dark horse. stlcard25ParticipantI’m glad for the simulcast on Scoops…I still have it on my podcast player so it’s nice to have it come up as a new download.
March 7, 2024 at 8:14 am #243449I am glad you didn’t delete it. It is good we can still continue there at Scoops, albeit in a different mode than before.
The tradeoff for having to listen to a few ads on the audio version is not having to see our faces on the video feed here at TCN! 😉
March 7, 2024 at 8:41 am #243455Some people have face ‘made for radio’; you look just fine Brian – no need to worry about being in front of a camera.
March 7, 2024 at 11:37 am #243464Thanks. Just having some fun… I am so glad to be back doing them and Blake adds a welcome dimension.
March 7, 2024 at 7:56 pm #243484Fascinating analysis and discussion of pitchers with new or improved pitches. I’m going to see if I can identify and follow those pitches during the season. I wish there were more spring training games being televised.
March 7, 2024 at 9:33 pm #243486I would appreciate some more discussion of Riley O’Brien. Blake sees him as something of a sleeper pick this spring. O’Brien has been with the Rays, the Reds, and the Mariners. and he’s 29 years old. It’s hard to understand why anyone could think that he will break out at this point in his career. I’m not saying it couldn’t happen, but it sure seems unlikely. I hope he does break out because I dislike boxing anybody in with the adage ‘You are what your stats say you are’. Incidentally, I looked him up on Wikipedia and his middle name is ‘Chun-Young’. He was born in Seattle. Wikipedia didn’t say anything about his biological heritage.
March 13, 2024 at 6:18 am #243887This week, Blake and I review how the Cardinals’ top 10 prospects are ranked by major national sources compared to The Cardinal Nation, with a focus on Won-Bin Cho and Max Rajcic. The related roster implications between major league and minor league camps as well as minor league spring game schedules are discussed. We close with four players who are opening eyes in camp – Riley O’Brien, Thomas Saggese, Alec Burleson and Victor Scott.
