Washington looks awful. Not the way you want to finish a season. It will be a long offseason unless there is a miracle finish.
October 12, 2017 at 9:57 pm #35928This one will probably be the end to Dusty Baker’s managing career. This job has John Farrell written all over it in 2018 unless there’s a stunning comeback in the late innings.

October 12, 2017 at 11:33 pm #35943How does the replay official make that call “as clear and convincing”? What a load of horse manure. All this time MLB is constantly preaching the replay has to be clear and convincing to rule on a call but then they go and do that?
October 12, 2017 at 11:51 pm #35945Ratsbuddy, I think you are right. This may well be the end for Dusty. A sad way to go out losing the way they did. It will be a long winter of soul searching in DC wondering what went wrong.
October 12, 2017 at 11:55 pm #35946BlackHills? What happened? What are you referring to?
And who starts Game One for the Cubs against Kershaw? I guess it will be Quintana.
Anybody but the Cubs………..

October 13, 2017 at 12:00 am #35948There’s 101 ways to lose a game and the Nats used most of them tonight.
October 13, 2017 at 8:22 am #35961Nats are better than the Chokdians at GIVING away series that is for sure..now we have to listen to all the BS about the sCrUbs and Spankees

ParticipantShould be 2 great series – NLCS and ALCS. Lots of good baseball. Looking forward to watching.

October 13, 2017 at 9:14 am #35963better baseball would have been top 2 teams playing each other
October 13, 2017 at 10:10 am #35972bccran
ParticipantLots of excellent hitters and pitchers. Some of the best in MLB.
Should be 2 very entertaining series. Teams seem to be closely matched.October 13, 2017 at 10:32 am #35977NJ315
ParticipantTop two teams? Then no playoffs. Top record from each league in the WS.
October 13, 2017 at 10:50 am #35978I’ll buy that. Or at the very least, how about requiring teams to actually win something to get into the playoffs?
October 13, 2017 at 10:51 am #35979I guess i don’t find the yankess very good or have that great of a team….more so the Indians once again choked once they got a big series lead…I’d much rather seen Indians vs Houston as both teams have more talent than the spankees.

ParticipantWell sometimes not so good teams win…2006 Cardinals?
October 13, 2017 at 11:42 am #35981bccran
ParticipantThe beauty of the playoffs. The key is getting in. Anything can happen once you’re in.
October 13, 2017 at 1:29 pm #35982Today’s odds to win the 2017 World Series, per Bovada.lv:
Los Angeles Dodgers 2/1
Houston Astros 9/4
Chicago Cubs 15/4
New York Yankees 15/4October 13, 2017 at 3:35 pm #35984I wasn’t shocked the Nationals choked again. It’s what they do best.
October 13, 2017 at 4:10 pm #35986I hate to admit it but the Cubs are so resilient it wouldn’t surprise me to see them win it all again. They seem to always find a way and just refuse to lose.
October 13, 2017 at 8:05 pm #35991bccran
ParticipantThe fun thing about watching the playoffs is enjoying seeing players that you haven’t seen much during the season – guys like Altuve, Springer, Correa, etc.
October 13, 2017 at 10:37 pm #35996Astros win 2-1. Yankees made it interesting with a 2-out HR in the top of the 9th
