OAA has him as 56th percentile. Both metrics show he has improved drastically and is average to above average. Hopefully the offense improves as he still is only 22 years old

I don’t know if it’s accurate, but they’ve got Walker listed at 6-6, 250 lbs. That’s quite a few chops and biscuits. If the 22 year old can ever begin to grasp the notion of contact, I don’t see how he could help but to walk into a nice collection of taters.

Didn’t Walker gain another 10-15 lbs of muscle this offseason as well? He looks like an NFL TE so raw power should never be a problem for him. Like you said he just needs to make contact, but he does also need to hit the ball in the air more as he hits too many GBs

It helps the current game has Judge and Ohtani who are 2 of the best batters to step into the box. I bet both get to 50 this year again.

Yeah, he’s a large man, Albert. Heck, Judge is only an inch taller, but they have him listed at a little over 280 lbs. I saw Judge from my seat in ’22 and he looks much bigger than that from a field box.

Yeah, Albert, but in the last 24 years the 50 HR plateau has been reached or bettered 17 times. Foster was the only guy that accomplished that feat from 1965 to 1990. Most people claim that pitching is exponentially more effective these days with the specialized use of BP’s, 5 man rotations, higher average velocity. etc. I’m not saying I disagree, but I’m also not sure that the pitchers weren’t as good or better when they used to routinely work 250 IP’ed in a season.
