Henderson hit 100 IP, which is OK for an A level starter. Next comes working up to 150 innings without breaking down, a la Hence. We don’t know if we have anything until he shows he can do that. It will require management resisting the urge to jerk him around, in and out of the rotation. We should know by the end of 2025.

Hernandez is the latest in the never ending line of catchers we talk ourselves into as they are coming up. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I am on both these guys at this part of the list (already voted in this round) but my commitment is spongey.

    My #25 is Honeyman

I then have three catchers in a row: Campos, R Rodriguez, S Hernandez.

    My #26 is Campos

I don’t see any votes for Campos in the #25/#26 rankings.
    Did my vote get lost?

Louis, it looks like I failed to count some votes as I only looked back to the previous tally and not to where the votes started. On the good side, it doesn’t change who won. Here’s the new and improved final tally last round:

    Hernandez: 9
    Honeyman: 7
    Henderson: 7
    Granillo: 4
    Padilla: 3
    Salas: 2
    Petrutz: 2
    Rodriguez: 1
    Campos: 1

    27. Ixan Henderson, LHP. Once again.

    28. Gerardo (don’t call me Juan) Salas. Yet another guy who filled out the dominant Palm Beach staff, he put up excellent numbers (2.62 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, 9.5 K/9, 2.0 BB/9). The fastball should play and he’s got good control. Ultimately, I liked him 4th of the guys who were mostly Palm Beach starters this year (Lin, Saladin and Henderson ahead of him) and a bit above a 5th guy (Davila), who is yet to come in my top 50. Mathews also started the year at Palm Beach and Savacool was a steady presence. Heck of a staff, no wonder they won their league.

    27. Paddy
    28. Ian Michael Petrutz. Just shy of an .500 OBP in his roughly 100 Palm Beach AB’s doesn’t quite raise 2 eyebrows….but it certainly does one. The power numbers will come……oh boy they’ll come.

I’m flummoxed to still be voting Granillo here. I think he’s our Helsley in 2026. Easily top 20 for me. I had Henderson at 22 so it’s starting to feel late for him now too. I’m kind of stuck here. I realize those of you who have been voting for Padilla and Rodriguez are in the same boat. I have Padilla at 23 but I just can’t get to him.

A name I am much lower on than is being listed: Ian Petrutz. I know some absolutely love Petrutz as he had great numbers, but he is a slap hitting corner OF’er. If he could play center, I would be much higher on him. His performance does get him in the top 50 for me at least though even above higher picks last year. I have him down at 44 with a couple of guys above him that I expect people to not agree with.

Out of the relievers remaining, the one I am the highest on in Loutos. I like his stuff and I think he has a really good chance of being a valuable middle reliever. Granillo definitely has the best stuff, but I am hoping he an put together a little command as he really needs to. I have been expecting Granillo’s command to get better but it hasn’t yet. Next on the RP tier for me is Gastelum, and then Osvaldo Berrios. I wouldn’t be see me be one of the few to vote for Berrios though. In general, it is interesting to see how many of our higher end RP prospects were acquired via non-conventional means.
