TLR would have sent him out and pulled him once he gave up a hit or a walk.

Hicks is struggling a bit here. He needs to get on track.

Hicks has been good of late, but not tonight. Like I said, I would have kept Monty out there with the way he was cruising. Seems Ollie consistently makes the bad move. Hopefully Hicks shuts this down.

Wow…down by 3 in the 7th and you get CS?

Goldy misses his slider middle in and again strikes out on a fastball. I think he needs 10 days rest on the IL.

When he connects he simply murders the baseball.

Man, Goldschmidt missed two pitches he should have drilled, then Ks on a pitch outside the zone.

But Gorman gets the two back. Man, that kid can really turn on a pitch.

Wasn’t that a foul ball they Contreras hit? Guess not.

The bullpen is going to wear us out tonight. Man these walks. . .

Yeah, the bullpen can’t stand prosperity.

Whew, I thought that one was gone. Edman handles center field pretty well.

Probably going to have to use Helsley tonight. Was hoping these second tier guys could finish this off. But, this is 2023 and not a lot goes well for this team.

Stratton has typically been reliable. Usually low leverage situations. But consistent. But not tonight at all.

Things are better in basketball as Denver is up by 13, but it is early in the fourth quarter, so really that is about comparable to our game.

Gave Stratton an outing “when ahead” and he stunk.

It is always something this season. There’s always one piece that just messes up and costs us 1 run games. Come on BP. Get it done.

Gallegos has to keep this at 3. And he does!!

Now I would bring Gio out to start the ninth, but you have to have Helsley ready as well as you just never know with out bullpen guys.

    And he does.

That catch by Edman earlier was good. Nice OF defense tonight.

Walker with three hits. He has a decent .754 OPS, but a negative WAR due to horrible defense. But he will get better out there. He’s an athlete.

After the walk you would think Donovan would be more selective.
