Cleveland’s in a similar position as the Redbirds in the sense that they’re 7 games under .500, but only 4.5 games back in the ALC.
Even the BP guys have it easy these days. I checked out Sutter’s ’82 game logs and Whitey worked him like a draft horse who owed him money. Not only did he appear in consecutive games 18 times, but on 2 occasions he worked 3 days in row. He even worked in both games of a double header vs. the Cubs that season. And snagged the save in both of them…Haha! And if that weren’t enough, he averaged right at 6 outs per appearance.
Rat’s buddy- I love that you reported that both the Brewers and Pirates games were still scoreless like 3 hours before their games started!
55 pitches thru 4 innings is perfectly acceptable. Especially with zero runs. Doing nice. Need to keep holding until we can find a couple runs off Bieber.
I think Spahn is still pitching in that Brewers game 1TD. Still holding the opponents to zero after 4 hours.
I agree with both sentiments JJ. He hits the ball on the ground A LOT. But he can go to all fields and he hits the ball hard. A little more patience and a little more loft.
Libby gets a little unlucky getting charged with a hit by pitch on a ball that was not too far off the plate. Was that Kris Bryant leaning in there?
And another ground ball that gets thru. Sigh. Not really Libby’s fault here. Sometimes this happens. He just needs to stay composed.
Another one bites the dust. Do you guys realize how hard it is to have 6 starters and NONE of them are worth a tinker’s damn?
It’s an amazing feat of incompetence that few have been able to attain.
Boy, that’s a shame about those couple of GB’s that bled through the IF before the bases clearing double.
