Milwaukee has already won today.
May 24, 2023 at 5:52 pm #221906Yeah, they took 2 of 3 from HOU and shutout the Astros in both of their W’s. I didn’t see that coming.
May 24, 2023 at 5:57 pm #221907Whoa…Das Boot, E-9. And it costs us.

stlcard25ParticipantI’ve about had it with Matz. It doesn’t matter if the error cost him, there’s no reason he makes his next turn in the rotation. Libby to start, Matz as middle relief.
May 24, 2023 at 6:03 pm #221909Matz is just so hittable. I rarely see any late movement at all on anything he offers up.
May 24, 2023 at 6:03 pm #221910Off with his head
May 24, 2023 at 6:06 pm #221911Absolutely horrible. At the risk of repeating myself – we don’t have even a single reliable starting pitcher.
It’s pathetic.
May 24, 2023 at 6:06 pm #221912Yeah, you can’t keep giving it to him every 5th day, 25. He rarely looks like he has the ability to even escape the 1st inning. Always in trouble and never seems to be able to make a pitch.
May 24, 2023 at 6:06 pm #221913Every error we make this season costs us runs. It is uncanny.
And yeah, I’ve about given up on all our pitchers not named Miles. But Liberatore is really the only alternative until we can find a trade partner.
May 24, 2023 at 6:07 pm #221914I don’t care how much he makes.
May 24, 2023 at 6:17 pm #221915Burly’s had some chances the last few games. A couple last night and during that top half. He’s not looked too good on any of them.
May 24, 2023 at 6:31 pm #221916That was a really weak throw home from LF
May 24, 2023 at 6:37 pm #221917His shoulders are slumping now. Almost looks like he’s no longer trying.
May 24, 2023 at 6:38 pm #221918Go get this guy. Heck with it. Burn the BP. I can’t watch this guy work any longer.
May 24, 2023 at 6:38 pm #221919That was another weak throw in to 3rd just now.
May 24, 2023 at 6:41 pm #221920That was another weak throw in to 3rd just now.
“Throw trickles to third” is the way the Reds’ announcer put it.
May 24, 2023 at 6:43 pm #221921When are we going to put our most productive players out there rather than our most financially obligate personnel? Time to pull the plug on Matz as a regular starter.
May 24, 2023 at 6:43 pm #221922Matz in no innings eater, but he is a pitch count eater.
May 24, 2023 at 6:44 pm #221923I can already hear it…”Well, the E hurt him. We saw him make some progress later on.” What they should say is he needs to work around it and pick up the other 8 guys on the field.
May 24, 2023 at 6:46 pm #221924Matz is our new DeJong. Everybody wants him gone but no one will take him unless we pick up 90% of the or tab someone dumps trash on us. We’re stuck with this bum!
Don’t worry tho. He’ll be out of this game in the 5th….AGAIN!
May 24, 2023 at 6:47 pm #221925Well, we’re back to within a GS…
May 24, 2023 at 6:49 pm #221926He was sucking before the error and after the error. It did add to the misery though.
May 24, 2023 at 6:50 pm #221927Well let’s chip away and hope Matz only give up a run before he departs. That is the standard.
May 24, 2023 at 6:53 pm #221928Well, cut it to within a GS and he couldn’t protect a 4 run…deficit.
May 24, 2023 at 6:54 pm #221929Kinda like Jose Canseco, except he didn’t use his head.
This team . . . . . .
