Did Burleson play first base at all in the minors? If so I would have him at first, given that Ollie wants Goldy to take a half day off. Then play Mercado in left. Have Donovan as a late inning bat or defensive replacement.

I once subscribed to MLB.TV for a while and at times I’m tempted to once again sign up. I looked at tonight’s slate and two games I wouldn’t mind taking a look at are the O’s at Yankees and the Dodgers at Braves. For some reason I always liked the Orioles and they currently possess the second best W/L record in either league. That should be an entertaining game at Yankee Stadium with two teams that were once near as intense of a rival as NY/BOS. And I don’t think I’m alone in regarding the Dodgers and Braves as the two elite teams in the NL. At any rate, I’m sometimes tempted to again subscribe, but the previous time I engaged myself in the process of ending the arrangement with MLB.TV, the experience was not at all unlike attempting to dissolve a bad marriage in which large alimony payments were sought. I think I’ll just keep on walking…

I already thought the same mike, and found no significant 1B starts. He was an outfielder.

I too have always kind of liked the Orioles and am glad they are competitive again. Frank Robinson had that Triple Crown year his first year there when I was a kid, and I got the 1966 season APBA cards. That summer of ‘67 I played a ton of APBA baseball while listening with my dad (when we could) to Cardinal games over KMOX. Those ‘66 Orioles were a fun team to play with the great F Robby card, not to mention Little Louie, Boog Powell, B Robby, and some good young pitching.

Yeah, that discovery of a Robinson card after ripping open the wrapper was as good as Gibson, Clemente, Brock, Marichal, Mays, Aaron or Cepeda, BikeMike. And I recall the first time I ever quickly shuffled through the cards contained in my new purchase and came across a card that had a picture of a real big guy named “Boog” on it…Haha! At any rate, yeah, I always liked the O’s and I think the primary reason may be that cool looking bird with the big smile…Haha!

Goldy’s been riding solo for almost as many miles as the guy who piloted of the Spirit of St. Louis…At any rate…Tater!

Goldy took two BB’s yesterday, I was hoping that was a good sign.

Ashcraft’s not alone…I’ve noticed across the league that pitchers have forgotten that it’s not a bad idea to check on the baserunner.

I’d like to know how Eddie determines whether or not he’ll step in from the right side against a RHP’er. Anyone heard anything or noticed a pattern?

See how that works, Ashcraft? It never hurts to check on him over there.

I sense a Goldy to the 3spot comment coming after two solo HR’s. Go for it Pugs!

Goldy now has 9 HR’s on the season. I just checked and 8 of those taters are of the solo variety. Get him out of that 2 slot before he really heats up. Edit…Haha! You saw that pitch coming and crushed it, jj!

Waino has given up 3 runs in 3 innings. At least the Offense is staying ahead of it so far.

Just think how many RBIs he’d have if he was batting third.

Waino’s cutter sitting at 81 tonight.

You know when a position player comes in to throw garbage pitches and some guys just can’t really hit that well off them because their timing is messed up? Maybe that’s Waino now. Plus he has the curve.

They have 4 hits in 4 IP and 3 runs. Maybe Adam should take a little more off!
