C’mon, Nado…
May 20, 2023 at 7:13 pm #221317Cards flashing the leather this inning. Really nice play by DeJong.
May 20, 2023 at 7:13 pm #221318A TOOTBLAN, the schlep.
May 20, 2023 at 7:17 pm #221319It sure was. He doesn’t need to be doing any running anyway. Speaking of running, do teams even attempt to H&R anymore? I don’t think I’ve even seen it attempted all season. If not, they need to resurrect it.
May 20, 2023 at 7:21 pm #221320The Cardinals could easily have 7 or 8 hits in the line score. The Dodgers have been perfectly positioned on the IF a number of times.
May 20, 2023 at 7:33 pm #221321Acid test for Mikolas this inning.
May 20, 2023 at 7:36 pm #221322I’m not sure if there’s tougher consecutive hitters in the game than Betts and Freeman. It almost ain’t fair.
May 20, 2023 at 7:37 pm #221323Didn’t take long.
May 20, 2023 at 7:38 pm #221324Three runs ain’t going to cut it.
And I see I made my Margarita just in time. I saw that coming. Always happens when the offense scores a few then stops.
May 20, 2023 at 7:40 pm #221325Yeah Marilyn, I had a bad feeling with Betts leading off followed by Freeman in the 6th for the 3rd time through.
May 20, 2023 at 7:42 pm #221326Third time through the order the Dodgers have Mikolas figured out. Our pitchers need to learn to be less predictable.
May 20, 2023 at 7:46 pm #221328No question they have some good hitters. A couple of them seem like they never make an out and when they do it’s a tough one.
May 20, 2023 at 7:50 pm #221329Nado missed the base. Weird
May 20, 2023 at 7:52 pm #221330I don’t get Arenado’s approach sometimes. He took a meatball in the middle of the plate then swung at a low and inside pitch into a double play.
I sometimes wonder if they all don’t panic guess when things don’t go their way.
I’m no hitting expert, but it sure is frustrating to watch.
May 20, 2023 at 7:54 pm #221331Interesting that both these teams, known for having good farm systems, have their two best hitters coming from other teams.
Freeman Braves
Betts Rod Sox
Arenado Rockies
Goldschmidt D-backsMay 20, 2023 at 8:03 pm #221332Thank God Marmol did not put Yepez in the OF. I would have turned the game off.
May 20, 2023 at 8:04 pm #221333I don’t think I’m alone when I say that when I think of the Dodgers farm system I immediately think of pitching over hitters. In fact, although I’m sure there are a few more, the last hitter I’d term elite that I can think of off the top of my head to come up through the Dodger’s farm system would be Steve Garvey.
May 20, 2023 at 8:07 pm #221334Helsley just has no command right now.
May 20, 2023 at 8:13 pm #221335And if only they could snag a top of the line pitcher or two from some other teams…
May 20, 2023 at 8:18 pm #221336Can he hit lefties? THREE RUN TATER!
May 20, 2023 at 8:18 pm #221337Gorman potato!!!
May 20, 2023 at 8:18 pm #221338I guess Gorman should always play against LHP…
May 20, 2023 at 8:19 pm #221339LOL. That IBB to Goldschmidt was a bite in the you know what.
May 20, 2023 at 8:22 pm #221340NOLAN GORMAN CLOBBERS ONE OUT FOR THE LEAD 💪

May 20, 2023 at 8:25 pm #221341I’ll tell you what…That baseball left in a big hurry and that pitch was by no means a horrible one. Gorman went down and dug it out for a genuine rocket type HR. He’s no joke and I’ve said many times as far back as before he began to struggle last season, that he has a decent chance to hit 40 before he’s through.
