Gorman takes the team lead in RBI.

Great play by their outfielder. You don’t always see that kind of hustle in a late blowout.

Edman and Gorman yucking it up in the dugout. Did Edman just tell him his was longer?

Yeah, Gorman’s led the team in both HR’s and RBI’s for most of this season.

Nice to see good Flaherty out there tonight. We could really use some more of that, so hopefully he can pitch better going forward.

Nice to see the Nolans have a day too. Gorman doing his usual second year thing.

Let’s save some runs for tomorrow night.

Gorman is leading the NL in RBIs, not just the Cards. Pretty solid.

Wish we could place 5 or 6 of these into a short term basket of futures…

I was hoping to see Yelich show off his arm on the mound.

So when do they let Gorman start facing more lefties?

    Burleson’s got nothing on Knizner

Sheesh – I wonder if this will “really help us in September.”

What this will do is make our Pythagorean record look like we should be .500 or better.

If this score stays put the Cardinals will have a + 7 run differential and be 8 under .500 after tonight. That’s highly unusual.

Well, 6.5 back. That’s no hill for a climber.

Some nights it just all comes together. Highlight is 7 scoreless innings by JF. Miley and Burnes will be a truer test tomorrow and Wednesday, but today was a good start to this series.

That was a butt whipping. Gotta give them credit these last few games. They’ve played really well overall.

Great win. Don’t see us doing that again too soon but it’s nice to get out some of that frustration.

I think the Cardinals need to move Gorman to LF.

Not a bad idea, but I don’t really care where he is as long as he’s somewhere every game. How do you platoon a player who leads the league in RBI’s?

And they have a better differential than the 1st place Brewers. That may be even more unusual.

On another note, only a half game out of 14th place in the NL now!

I don’t know anything about what they call exit velocity or launch angle or any of that other fashionable stuff. What I do know from watching with my eyes, is that when Nolan Gorman makes solid contact, the baseball jumps off of his bat like I’ve only seen in a handful of players. It almost reacts like one of those Super Balls that we used to bounce around when we were kids in the 60’s. They were sold by a company named “Wham-O”…That name’s fitting for how Gorman rips the baseball when he barrels up.

1td…put Gorman in LF and play him every day.

GameCard…About a month or so ago, I had wrongly recalled that Gorman had played a handful of games in LF last season. I looked it up back then and he only played a few innings. I think in both LF and RF. At any rate, I’d have to guess he’d be a better OF’er than either Yepez or Burleson.
