I’d say the Redbirds are making a statement in this game in the form of serving notice that just because they now reside in last place doesn’t at all mean they’ve disappeared from the NLC.
May 15, 2023 at 8:38 pm #220610I’ve had a full knee replacement and I would run on Yelich.

ParticipantWell finally got some time to watch but I also wanted to listen to some music so been watching with tv volume down. Jack got out of that first inning by the skin of his teeth and hasn’t looked back I know it’s the brewers but still looks great. Offense has been really doing better. This looks more like our team. Big hill to climb but it can be done in our division. Just keep winning series and not get down by one bad game.
May 15, 2023 at 8:41 pm #220613When is the last time we had a starter give us 7 shutout innings? Chris Carpenter? lol
May 15, 2023 at 8:41 pm #220614Yeah, once Gorman worked it full you had good feeling he was going to get something to rip. He did.
May 15, 2023 at 8:44 pm #220616Seems like it, gscottar. Then I remembered Miles working a no hitter into the 9th. Was that last season? I think so, but not sure.

ParticipantJack goes 7, that’s great. 105 pitches. About right. No use to push him too far. Let him get out with a great outing. Watching Donovan, he just doesn’t seem to be the same player as last year. Seems to be trying to hit stuff hard and far instead of being the scrappy type he was last year.

ParticipantBurleson has hit the ball pretty good tonight but nothing to show for it.
May 15, 2023 at 8:47 pm #220619A yawner — and not the kind we’re used to, haha. Maybe Yelich should start throwing left handed?
May 15, 2023 at 8:48 pm #220620Line on Flaherty…0 ER’s, on 3 hits, 10 K’s and 2 BB’s in 7 IP’ed. I credit Contreras for getting him straightend out…
May 15, 2023 at 8:48 pm #220621I guess Contreras will get the credit for that good outing by Jack.
May 15, 2023 at 8:49 pm #220622Haha!…Great minds and all, Bling.

ParticipantWell nailed isn’t exactly setting the world on fire here. Would be sad if we have to get the top guys up here

ParticipantA lot of mess there but cardinals got lucky.

ParticipantWell we r one long one from a
3 run gameMay 15, 2023 at 8:54 pm #220627I’ve seen enough of James.
May 15, 2023 at 8:55 pm #220628Naile has to toss a benjamin in the jar.
May 15, 2023 at 8:56 pm #2206291982 willie
ParticipantWell naile survives the inning. It was a struggle
May 15, 2023 at 8:56 pm #220630It was messy, but only cost Naile one run and one benjamin.
May 15, 2023 at 8:57 pm #220631Yeah, that got a little spooky there for a second. Make that a minute…
May 15, 2023 at 8:58 pm #220632Woody was a much better mop up guy last year.
May 15, 2023 at 9:00 pm #220634Dang, Eddie. You look a little angry…
May 15, 2023 at 9:01 pm #220637Sweet swinging Tommy Edman
May 15, 2023 at 9:04 pm #220638Gorman’s no joke.
