I’d say the Redbirds are making a statement in this game in the form of serving notice that just because they now reside in last place doesn’t at all mean they’ve disappeared from the NLC.

I’ve had a full knee replacement and I would run on Yelich.

Well finally got some time to watch but I also wanted to listen to some music so been watching with tv volume down. Jack got out of that first inning by the skin of his teeth and hasn’t looked back I know it’s the brewers but still looks great. Offense has been really doing better. This looks more like our team. Big hill to climb but it can be done in our division. Just keep winning series and not get down by one bad game.

When is the last time we had a starter give us 7 shutout innings? Chris Carpenter? lol

Yeah, once Gorman worked it full you had good feeling he was going to get something to rip. He did.

Seems like it, gscottar. Then I remembered Miles working a no hitter into the 9th. Was that last season? I think so, but not sure.

Jack goes 7, that’s great. 105 pitches. About right. No use to push him too far. Let him get out with a great outing. Watching Donovan, he just doesn’t seem to be the same player as last year. Seems to be trying to hit stuff hard and far instead of being the scrappy type he was last year.

Burleson has hit the ball pretty good tonight but nothing to show for it.

A yawner — and not the kind we’re used to, haha. Maybe Yelich should start throwing left handed?

    Line on Flaherty…0 ER’s, on 3 hits, 10 K’s and 2 BB’s in 7 IP’ed. I credit Contreras for getting him straightend out…

I guess Contreras will get the credit for that good outing by Jack.

Well nailed isn’t exactly setting the world on fire here. Would be sad if we have to get the top guys up here

Naile has to toss a benjamin in the jar.

Well naile survives the inning. It was a struggle

It was messy, but only cost Naile one run and one benjamin.

Woody was a much better mop up guy last year.
