50 years ago today, May 12, 1973, at Busch Stadium against the Montreal Expos this was our starting lineup:

9. Andrew Knizner (R) CJames Paxton has pitched 20.1 innings in 2020, 1.1 in 2021 and 0 in 2022. This is a very winnable game.
Paxton has been out of action since undergoing TJ. I think I’ve seen something about the recovery not going too well. Prior, he was a swing and miss guy when he was with the Yankees.
Nado with the early two run tater’s nice. Now the old guy works through 2 with 12 pitches. So far, so good.
That Arenado HR was a thing of beauty…! No better sight in baseball than a 4-bagger over the Green Monster!

The Turner non-strike resulted in two runs. Now b-2-b HRs for the Sox. But Fenway is a park where you can put up a lot of runs especially with a right handed lineup. We’ll see.
Yeah, the HPU punched out Edman on a pitch in the same location the very next inning. Redbirds making some noise in the 6th.
Jesus, once its 2-0 w/2 on, don’t challenge their best hitter, just hold up 4 fingers.
