    Good grief our starting pitching.

I hope Jack now understands that he won’t be getting Ace money next year.

Next year I hope they can keep Montgomery and flush the rest of this crew around the bowl and down the hole.

Haha!…”Baserunners r us.” He’s dodging a lot of traffic out there. Jack the Jaywalker…

Taking a gander at the out-of-town scoreboard:

Toronto downs the Pirates 10-1 at Three Rivers Stadium

Cincinnati leads the Mets 7-6 in the last of the 8th at Crosley Field

The Dodgers lead Milwaukee 6-0 in the bottom of the 5th at County Stadium

Jasper beat Vincennes tonight at Ruxer Field 7-3

Jack went 6 2/3 innings combined in his previous four starts against the cubbies. That makes tonight outstanding!

Pallante gives up the lead with a meatball.

For a second there, I thought that was Joe Carter rounding the bases….

Donovan is an amazing defensive player. It’s not about 2B, SS, 3B, OF, etc. with this guy. It’s about pursuing, catching and throwing a baseball.

This home plate ump has been squeezing our pitchers all night. Very annoying.

Not gonna check now, but I think Knizner is hitting better lately.

Knizner says Willson can just stay at DH.

We really need to win this game just to reward our D.
btw, Kiz has a 4digit ops since taking over at starting catcher. HR, 3 doubles, I know, just 5 games, but I’ll take it.

I can’t believe the Cub manager is wearing a hoodie. Disgraceful.

Yeah, he goes after the baseball like a starving man after a hot dog. Dwight Evans was the guy that I thought played the OF with more abandon than any other player I’ve ever seen.

Haha! Yeah, I wouldn’t want anyone to see me in that Cub’s uni either…

I don’t know how Goldy missed that pitch.

Well that’s disappointing. Kiz sets the table and Goldy and Gorman don’t come through. That’s 2023 for ya.

We had runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs and couldn’t get 1 runner in?

This feels like a late inning collapse is in the works.

Pallante is about to blow a gasket here.

Good job by Gorman on the force to not get carried away by forcing a throw to 1B.

Not the first time I’ve mentioned this, but Caray’s a pretty good PBP guy. Plenty of enthusiasm and none of it seems forced or over the top.
