Card’s defense is doing its part to improve baseball and shorten games by reducing the time between errors. That was 3 errors in about a minute.

I think our guy tripped over the beer keg behind second base.

Eddie makes an E and Eddie taters-up. Edit; I was wrong. No E-6.

We are not slugging. When Edman has more HR’s and a higher SLG% than Goldy, Arenado, O’Neill, Contreras, Burleson, Carlson and Walker……
I guess we should bat Tommy boy at cleanup!

So I was wrong too. Just 2 errors instead of 3. You and I have higher standards than the scorekeeper.

Maybe Edman called in sick that day the polo shirts went over swing optimization.

Glad to see Edman make up for his bonehead throws by jacking one over the wall.

Looked like an E-6 to me, Euro. I guess they don’t score it like that unless the runner advances to 2B…Haha!

I think it’s pretty lame to lay everything at the managers feet when the players are playing like crap, but hey, enjoy the bash-fest.

I don’t know how accurate the info is, but I just looked it up and according to the source an official scorer is paid $170 per game. That’s pretty darn good. I’d sure take that job. I’d sure have a lot of people mad at me too and if they complained, I’d give them an oven mitt…

Well, you could look at it this way, jj…If the players don’t begin to play better, the bash-fest will end pretty soon…

The SF catcher’s name made me think of Chris Sabo. I enjoyed watching him play when he was a Red. He had a monstrous WS in Cincinnati’s 4 game sweep of TLR’s old team in ’90.

The 90 WS was a butt kicking.

Remember Ed and Steve Sabol, a couple of NFL HOFers? They are the guys who built NFL Films, which leads you to the Voice of God, AKA John Facenda. That guy’s voice could send chills down your spine.

If the Cards are say 10 games back at the all star break what are the odds they trade Goldy and/or Arenado?

I’m trying to figure out why Jake was allowed to work to one hitter in the 6th.

Burleson flashing some leather on a good play. He used every bit of his 12 inch vertical leap to climb the wall and make the catch.

I don’t think either of those guys are going anywhere anytime soon unless they insist on leaving.

Yeah, those older NFL film features were really good, Euro. The soundtracks were really well chosen too in regards to the chills up and down the spine factor.

Woodford had a decent outing but 5 1/3 is still a bit short.

Instead of finding ways to win this team finds new ways to lose.

Hopefully they can comeback and win this one – if not a loss will drop them into a last place tie with the Reds still 7 back of the Pirates and 6 back of the Brewers.
