Walker is athletic and he’s just a kid. He’ll be transferred into a dandy 1st baseman, LACardFan.
Hasn’t translated to any other defensive positions.
Yeah Pugs, they like to use the kid’s charity trick…Meanwhile, Mr. Walgreen’s hoards enough money to rescue every kid from poverty and sickness as far away as Easter Island.
The other day they had a clip of Donovan working out without his baseball cap on and the way he had his hairstyled and pulled to the top of his head he looked just like the guy who works at the Samurai Deli…Haha! I fully expected him to brandish his trusty katana and skillfully start cutting salami and tomatoes for a sandwich!
I think Walker has difficulties tracking fly balls from the outfield position, LACardFan. It’s just one of those things. It’s not his forte. But he’s an athlete…….I think one that can be molded into one of the finest 1st basemen ever to play this great game……ok the last part is a bit sketchy, but I still think he can be a more than adequate 1st baseman.
Monty got away with one there, as that creampuff he threw Bellinger’s way could have cost him 3 runs instead of one. Now Swanson singles in another run and it’s 4-0 Bad guys in the 3rd. Well these schlurps had us 4-0 in London too and we came storming back.

Exactly, Hammer. His performance today will lessen his trade value a bit. Not much, but it will cause a little giddiness to wane from potential trading partners. If I had to put a number on it, I’d say he lost 6% of his trade value today. Now that’s not much, but it’s something.
Pugs? Why not throw in a Barnaby Jones DVD instead of watching this game?

Well this is a revolting development. Been working around the yard a little, plus we are defrosting our freezer and am attending to that. I have the game on the man cave TV, and just checked in. Looks like Monty is not exactly making a strong case for his new team. Meanwhile the Cubs could get a nice haul for Bellinger.
Cubs might take 3 of 4 over the weekend, although it ain’t over til it’s over, as some great philosopher once said.
This series started so promisingly, but boy has it tanked. I wouldn’t be surprised to see our first trade(the Cabby trade doesn’t count)consummated by Tuesday. Since we’re speaking of Monte here today, I predict he’ll end up in Philadelphia or Toronto. If anyone correctly predicts where he’ll land by month’s end, I’ll send them a nice little sports memorabilia package. Only one guess per person please. It just hit me though …….with this game being out of hand, me and TD may be the only 2 hombres left around here now.
