We got 3 IP out of Pallante. Can’t expect anything more.
June 10, 2022 at 8:18 pm #187569Din-din was egg fu young, crab rangoon and an egg roll. Had it door dashed from my favorite place.
June 10, 2022 at 8:20 pm #187570Bottom of 3.
Goldy fouls out to the 1st baseman Joey Votto.
Arenado rifles a hotshot grounder down the line at 3rd…where Drury sprawls out to glove it but his throw to 1st base will understandably not have enough mustard on it to register the out. Very nice play by Drury as he prevented a sure double….and if Yadi had been the one hitting that ball, he very well could have had his man at 1st base.
O’Neill goes the other way and pokes a grounder thru the hole and out into right field for a base hit…. Arenado stopping at 2nd.
Donovan flies out to Pham in left and there can be no advancement on the base paths.
Carlson grounds out to Drury at 3rd base.

Reds OJune 10, 2022 at 8:21 pm #187571Flaherty should be home soon. Thats two good outings.
June 10, 2022 at 8:22 pm #187572The Blingster! Great din-din……with your permission, I’m copying that for my din-din pleasure tomorrow night, Bling.
June 10, 2022 at 8:27 pm #187574Neil Pallante sets the Redlegs down in one pretty little 1-2-3 chorus line……with only 10 pitches. He’s now sitting at 57 pitches for the night, so by golly, I think he’s got another inning in him, and quite possibly a Win to go along with it.
June 10, 2022 at 8:31 pm #187575Bottom of 4.
Bader on 3-2 flies out routinely to Pham in left field.
Knizner raps a one-hopper Farmer’s way out at short and he’ll glove it and easily throw out the Cardinal catcher at 1st base.
Edman flies out to Friedl in short center field.
Cards 2
Reds 0June 10, 2022 at 8:35 pm #187576Why don’t I get all warm & fuzzy at the prospect of Steven Matz coming back quickly to the rotation? To be fair though, we need to see more of him to make a true evaluation of the Matz signing.
Hey we haven’t heard from Cabby since his stellar 4 inning outing earlier this week. Any possibility that he’ll be starting a game soon?
June 10, 2022 at 8:41 pm #187577Neil Pallante is starting to make the enviable habit of setting down the opposition 1-2-3, as he does it once again in the 5th. Neil now with 73 pitches under his belt.
June 10, 2022 at 8:45 pm #187578Bottom of 5.
Gorman golfs a fly out to center where Friedl will have to conduct a short jog in towards the infield to catch up with it….and he has it for the out.
Goldy flies out to Friedl in center.
Arenado strikes out swinging and both starting pitchers have been having their way with the batters as hits have been at a premium. No earned runs here tonight too, as both Redbird runs came to fruition as a result of poor Cincinnati throws to 1st base.
Cards 2
Reds 0June 10, 2022 at 8:53 pm #187579Good effort by Pallante. Keep Wittgren, McFarland, Whitley, and Verhagen away from this game and we will have a shot.
June 10, 2022 at 8:54 pm #187580My Cabby question was just answered, as he’s coming into this ballgame with one out in the 6th and nobody on base. Nice outing by Pallante tonight!
And Genesis (properly pronounced “Hen-a-sis”) “Cabby” Cabrera, gets the two batters out that he faces.
June 10, 2022 at 9:03 pm #187581bccran
ParticipantTime to score some more runs.
June 10, 2022 at 9:06 pm #187582Bottom of 6.
O’Neill on 3-2 lofts a short fly to center that Drury scurries in quickly to catch.
Donovan hits a scorching grounder smack dab up the middle, but unfortunately that’s exactly where Cincinnati has a fielder positioned, Reynolds gloves it and throws him out at 1st base.
Carlson grounds it right back at…and off Castillo’s arm and by the time Castillo retrieves the ball, Carlson will be walking back to the bag instead of running towards it and that’ll be an infield hit.
Bader strikes out swinging.
Cards 2
Reds 0June 10, 2022 at 9:12 pm #187583Cranny in the house too….how sweet is that. Hey Cranny……care to divulge what you had for din-din tonight? If so, that would only be a second time, as it was just last weekend that Cranny finally revealed for the first time what he had for din-din….and I believe it was bear meat of all things.
June 10, 2022 at 9:16 pm #187584Cabby setting these Redlegs down with the greatest of ease, as he has now readily dispatched all 5 Reds he’s faced. Still 2-0 Cards.
June 10, 2022 at 9:27 pm #187585Bottom of 7. Jeff Hoffman on in relief for Cincy.
Knizner lines a shot that the 2nd baseman Reynolds spears at about eye level for the out.
Edman walks.
Tommy swipes 2nd base….#15 on the year. The catcher’s throw skipped on by Reynolds at 2nd base, but not far enough for any further advancement.
Gorman blisters a shot to right field…that Aquino contorts oddly for and somehow comes up with the catch…..you guys will have to check out the replay on that one.
Goldy grounds out to 3rd.
Cards 2
Reds 0June 10, 2022 at 9:28 pm #187586Dang Goldy don’t want any meatballs tonight again!
June 10, 2022 at 9:35 pm #187587Dejong has his average at Memphis up to .225. Is a callup imminent?
June 10, 2022 at 9:38 pm #187588Giovanny Gallegos on to pitch for St. Louis in the 8th. Let’s stay atop the PBP saddle this half inning shall we?
Moran….oh wow, 4-7 lifetime vs Gallegos. On 3-2 Colin draws a well deserved free pass.
Friedl pops out to Arenado in foul territory only about 10 feet up the line from home plate just inside the chalk.
Drury on 3-2 walks and that’s 22 pitches already this inning by Gallegos.
Pham strikes out looking and that’s a biggie!
Cards 2
Reds 0June 10, 2022 at 9:48 pm #187589bccran
ParticipantDin-din was fried grasshoppers, parsley, collard greens, and ham hocks – all washed down with sarsaparilla.
June 10, 2022 at 9:52 pm #187590Continuation of the top of the 8th inning.
Votto walks to load them up.
Farmer pops out to short.
Cards 2
Reds 0Gallegos registered 33 pitches this inning.
Lol Cranny!
June 10, 2022 at 9:54 pm #187591Wow That was scary!
June 10, 2022 at 9:56 pm #187592Bottom of 8. Kuhnel pitching for the Reds.
Arenado grounds out to Farmer at SS.
O’Neill strikes out swinging.
Donovan strikes out swinging.
Cards 2
Reds 0No din-din for Wooster tonight?
June 10, 2022 at 10:04 pm #187593Top of 9. The Von Ryan Express on to close matters out…. Helsley.
Reynolds flies out to Carlson in right.
Lopez on 3-2 strikes out swinging….. Helsley’s 31st K of the year vs only 6 walks.
Aquino strikes out swinging….. ballgame!
Your favorable final:
St. Louis Cardinals 2
Cincinnati Reds 0 -
