Donovan whacks a hard grounder into right for his first ML hit. And they’re hastily retrieve that ball for Brendan, so he can showcase that ball for decades to come. Wouldn’t you’d love to see how Cardinal players first ML hits are presently showcased? Like those of Ray Lankford, Keith Hernandez, Albert Pujols, to name a few. And maybe not only pictures but also some written facts, such as those that were lost or even might have been sold…..back to the action here..

8-3 now as Walker singles in a run with 2 outs. Kind of feel for Brooks, as he was just one out shy of picking up the 3inning save. The Walker rbi was not that hard hit of a ball, but so it goes. Enter Wittgren for the final out.

Perdomo on 3-2 walks on a pitch that not even a bald eagle would have had the keen eyesight to take. He should have been rung up. Bases totally slithering with Diamondbacks now . If they put one more runner on, we’ll see the tying run come up to the plate.

That’s an unusual occurrence, for sure. Hopefully the Cards can break out of their power outage soon, but at least they are scoring some runs.
Very unusual, stlcard25. But maybe it’s a good thing. Almost every one of those 15 singles were very hard hit. Nice easy smooth strokes. I think the only Cardinal who appears to be almost always swinging for the downs is PDJ……and we see where is batting average presently sits. The homers will come……hey they could have used that line, in a haunting hushed voice, in “Field of Dreams”.
