I went to the 2004 WS St Louis. It was not a good thing. My memories (the ones I haven’t suppressed) are how nice it was that the Cardinal brass opened the gates to all the Sox fans w/o tickets milling around outside, so they could come in and party and see the last inning. My other memory was a Sox family wandering around in a daze on Game 5 day (which obviously wasn’t played 😡), repeating over and over how amazed they were that they won. Like us, they were stuck waiting around for their flight. Ghost town.
so cal, that had to be a kick in the jewels, but going to a bad one is better than not going to any. So that’s you, 1td, gscott, and CIF who have attended a fall classic game. forsch and I need to up our game.
