Donovan gets it all started in the 9th.
The double was so sweet after the ump hosed him on what was clearly ball 4.

ParticipantWell hard fought win. That’s the braves only weakness, using Jansen..I never liked him with the dodgers, definitely wouldn’t want him on our team. I consider him a lot like isringhausen. He’s just as likely to blow a game as save it. But as long as he’s pitching against us, I feel we have a chance.
.August 27, 2022 at 9:46 pm #197975First Fox today and now ESPN’s hi-jacked tomorrow’s game? Bummer…
August 27, 2022 at 9:48 pm #197976A win’s a win but hardly the cause for wild celebration..
August 27, 2022 at 9:49 pm #197977Dickerson’s IF hit should have been the walk-off RBI. Redbirds caught a bad break on Nado’s 1st inning 2 out GRD which would have surely scored Goldy from 1B.
August 27, 2022 at 9:51 pm #197978JMack…Haha…No parade tomorrow?
August 27, 2022 at 9:51 pm #197979We’re the walkin’ walk-off Winners! Really hung in there and our fans really enjoyed that game. Good pitching and Hicks and Helsley both looked great. We really-really need somebody to hit besides Nado and Goldy. Maybe Nado can give lessons?
Go Cardinals!August 27, 2022 at 9:54 pm #197980Wooster…Yep, I’ll take the winning RBI BB. When O’Neill stepped in the box, you just know what everyone was thinking.
August 27, 2022 at 9:58 pm #197981Wooster…Good point concerning the BP. Total of 4 IP without a BB or allowing a run. No chance tonight without those 3 guys.

What in the world are you talking about? 😉 Haha.
The swing on the 3-0 pitch was rather bold knowing what could happen a couple pitches later. If the game didn’t end on O’Neill’s AB, we had a realistic chance the Cards don’t win. Glad he didn’t go for the wild ones, but Jansen didn’t exactly make them tempting.
August 27, 2022 at 10:02 pm #197983Did O’neil actually touch 1st base?

jj-cf-stlParticipantJoJo looked good too.
Montgomery with a clunker, GmSc of 34.August 27, 2022 at 11:15 pm #197985Dickerson’s hit will look like a rocket off the bat in the box score but I am starting to have the feeling his incredible hot streak had a lot to do with Wrigley Field. He has hit extremely well there all year. Will he be able to hit elsewhere?
August 28, 2022 at 12:35 am #197986Well some of you wouldn’t care if Dickerson best games were against The Cubs. I mean So Taguchi hit a homer against the Cubs that lives in Infamy.
August 28, 2022 at 7:39 am #197988As to O’Neill, I have seen enough.
I am pretty sure what I meant by that was I have seen enough to know that eagle (batting) eye O’Neill can be counted on to work it for a walk.
