I’ve always felt that if you were a fan over the age of 13 years old and you got a foul ball souvenir with a glove, it didn’t count…

I DNK why you’d shift the IF with Blackmon. He sprays it all around.

Nice poise and recovery to turn the DP. Let’s get that run back and some more.

Looks almost like TE working out there on the mound.

Plus, to me he has a demeanor that says I’ve got this. That counts a lot in the tough situations and keeps the defense positive.

Daily Double for the Redbirds tonight. 4 of ’em so far.

EuroDandy…He sure does. He’s displayed the ability to stay poised and work his way out of trouble in tonight’s ballgame. Just like what good pitchers do.

Been to a lot of games over the years and never took a glove. I wasn’t watching earlier. What happened?

Anyway, reminds be of an unbelievable story I heard on the radio today — one of those “on this date” things. August 17 in 1957, Richie Ashburn hit a foul ball into the stands and broke a woman’s nose. When play resumed, Ashburn fouled another ball and hit the woman again while she was being carried away on a stretcher. I hope she started living a better life after that.

“Richie Ashburn hit a foul ball into the stands and broke a woman’s nose. When play resumed, Ashburn fouled another ball and hit the woman again while she was being carried away on a stretcher”

On the way to the hospital, the lady directed the Ambulance Driver to stop by the nearest place that sells lottery tickets!

Oh wait….. 1957….. I guess they were around back then.

    🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

EuroDandy…Haha! That’s funny, but it’s not…Poor woman. I once met a buddy of mine at a local watering hole here in StL. to get a bite to eat before going to a Cardinal game. We were both in our mid 30’s at the time. When we were done eating I told him we’d take my truck and he could leave his car in the parking lot. He agreed, but said he wanted to get his glove out of his car…I told him no way was I going to go to the game with him carrying that glove! He said why? I said, what are you, 8? Our mutual friends still get a laugh out of that story.

Donovan is such a solid ballplayer.

Hope that bungled DP doesn’t cost us.

The next DP chance worked out better, but Ollie is pulling Monty now with the man on 3rd.

He could have been out of the inning instead of out of the game.

I think I’d have left him in to work. 87 pitches thru 5.2. Wasn’t his fault they couldn’t turn the 4-6-3. Doesn’t seem right to me.

If this stays at a 2 run lead after the home half of the 6th, at what point do you shore the D up and place O’Neill in LF and Eddie at 2B?

Nice work from Pallante. Work him in the 8th?

Tscurlo, if I were that woman, I would have never stepped foot outside during a lightning storm the rest of my life.

Pallante gets four big outs. Who takes the last two innnings? If Helsley takes one, that would be 3 appearances in 4 days, so maybe not?

True Euro…. Reminds me of the White Streak Hair Guy on “The Great Outdoors” movie. 🙂

Need some Insurance Runs here at the Bot 7.

6-1 Lead would be nice going into the 8th.

    Well…nix NA doing it. 🙁

jjcfstl…I’d say so. 12 pitches in 1.1 IP tonight. He’s been effective.
