Playing in Colorado at Coors Field is never easy! They are/were a few games above .500 at home. Plus I wonder how effective Wainwright’s curve will be in the high altitude?

It would be nice to win three of four this weekend but I would settle with a split. Then we go to San Francisco for a three game series. That one wont be easy either. Then home to face the Cubs. The next several days could be season-defining for us.

I hope not Rat. The Rox are a good team at home. I think better than us on the road. Same with Giants. We might do better when we play the Cubs at home.

I am glad we won, but playing Edman in the outfield, and Carp at 2nd is a bad idea IMO. Sure let’s weaken 2 positions, with little production ever by Carp. Let’s stick with Nootbaar versus righties at least. Williams was pretty bad, and he had a huge leash on starting, why not give Lars the same chance?

Starting 7 of 9 games since Lars call up is a very good opportunity right? Edman has started 8 of 9. Sosa 5 of 9. Carp 2 of 9.

Carps barely in the equation and one of his two starts was at 1B with Lars in RF.

Mostly its Edman, Sosa and Lars filling RF and 2B IMO.

I have no use for Carp. He should be our power, er walk bat off the bench. He couldn’t even move the runner over from 2nd with no one out today. I thought I could always count on him hitting into the shift.

My mistake. We play the Cubs at Wrigley, not at home. Hopefully we can win at least one of the three rather than suffer through ANOTHER sweep at the hands of the Cubs.

Since his call up Lars has gotten more PA’s than Sosa, and by production it should be the other way around, but you called him up so play him I guess.

Edman ended his 0-17 stretch so he’s good to go for another month. He bashes the dugout brass in the press and gets a game off 😜

Edman should start every game and lead off.

Thanks to the meltdown by Ramirez yesterday I would expect Reyes not to be available tonight.

There are currently 9 Cardinals with the same or better on base percentage as Edman. He might be in danger of losing his leadoff spot.

With Bader back the outfield is intact again.

At the halfway point the infield is a .699 OPS, the outfield a .704

Vs RH SP, so Edman bats 6th and Bader 8th. The regulars, no bench players starting.

Coots field and Cardinals pitching. What could go wrong? If we keep them under 30 runs for the series, I’ll be happy.

Yeah David I am not real optimistic about our chances. But at least our guys are hitting in Coors field too.

Is it me or are we seeing an unusual number of triples this year?

Hated seeing us strand runners on 2nd and 3rd after a botched DP and nice sac bunt by Waino. Then the Rox come out and hit a 2 run homer so we trail 2-1.

Oh I so missed the negative commentary by negative zero commenters while bader was out injured. Our players played so awesome while he was away I guess so didn’t need any negative drivel.
