This is the first I have seen him pitch in a long time. Delivery is completely different. Very little follow through. He used to end up with his back to the plate sometimes.
Well two at bats and the Cardinals already sucking at the plate. Hendricks throwing balls right down the heart of the plate.
Off Carlos’s glove, Edman with a pad save and a beauty, picks it up and over to first. No damage except to Cubbies in the batters box.
Have been listening to KMOX some. Rooney doing PBP with Mike chiming in color. He sounds a lot better than last I listened at the start of the season.
Meat of the order did jack so its 1-1 after 4. Carlos’s pitch count low 40s going into the 5th. Hope nobody else ties into one of those floaters.
Mike doing PBP now, sounds a whole lot better that at the start of the season. Not his old self, but sounds good.
This Cy Hendricks guy really gets on my nerves. Wish we had played the Cubs when they were struggling more. Still, there’s a shot to come back.
