With Hicks and Miller out, and Reyes and Gallegos unavailable, our bullpen depth is less. I still say they should have only have had Reyes pitch 1 inning last night.

I’m not a chic, so I wouldn’t be a good judge on this. But if you were a lady and had to pick one guy to go out on a date with between Gant, Hader and Lincecum, who in blazes would you pick? It couldn’t be an easy choice based on looks

Stranger things have happened. Goldy perched out at 2nd base with one out in a 4-1 Brewer ballgame in the 9th.

We have a chance. Great ABs by all 3 Cards so far.

Oh well, great game. Win tomorrow, and it’s still a nice trip.

Credit to our boys for battling. Just curious wasn’t meant to be. Tough loss but we may have knocked Hader out of the game for tomorrow but With Flare pitching and the run support we’ve given him so far, Counsell may not be in a position to make that decision. Go Cardinals and good night Cardinal Nation.

With the way Woodruff was pitching, that was a game that our Cardinals had no business levying any stress whatsoever on Milwaukee. Our boys made the Crew break much more than just a casual sweat. That my friends is the mark of a very good ball club. Not quite, but I almost feel like we won this game. Anyone else?

I don’t know how the word curious got in there. Maybe I should proof read before clicking send

Pugsley.. It felt more like a Cardinals lost than a brewer win. The crews runs were basically scored on a slip and the aide of a 3rd strike error.

I’ll be at work during tomorrow’s game but I’ll be checking in from time to time to see how our boys are doing. Hopefully Flare can go to 7-0.. but even nicer would be 23-15. This team is special. Go Cardinals.

I heartily agree, with a five run lead. Things will get better when Gant goes to the pen when Mikolas is here.

Actually pugsley, I kind of agree with you. Their starter pitched better and longer. The fact that we made it a game right down to the wire was great. I think these two teams are very well matched. I feel they have the edge in pitching but I feel we have the edge in hitting so it’s going to come down to situations and mistakes.

The problem with these marvelous Milwaukee starters is that they cannot stay healthy for long stretches of time. This is a huge problem for them. So if this important aspect stays true to form, and it most likely will, at the end of the day, this is what will seperate these two evenly talented teams. We should finish at least 5 games in front of these guys.
