Ha! Appreciate you bringing that up, Curlo. If that lead holds, Rat will surely remind me too. A lot of football to be played yet. My 37-13 prediction is out the window, but 37-16 Knights wouldn’t be too shabby…..just need to outscore Jasper 37-0 in the 2nd half…..on their field. Get em Knights!
DeJongs throws over to 1st base alway scare me… it seems like the ball is always sailing.

Rat might literally kick the dog when he gets home from his Jasper game if his boys get outscored 37-0 in the second half. Let’s keep our fingers crossed, Curlo.
Not exactly a hitting exhibition here this evening as both clubs have registered a grand total of 3 hits as the cubbies come to bat here in the 4th…..so naturally, Ian Happ promptly singles to right to lead things off.
But the pitcher’s best friend, the 4-6-3 twin killing…..not the 6-4-3 mind you, but the 4-6-3 double play, quickly erases Happ from any scoring aspirations.
Wow….since August 1st, O’Neill and Goldy have hit a combined 30 dingers….thar she blows!…make that 31 as O’Neill rifles a blast into the left field seats making the score O’Neill 2 and the cubbies 0.
Tyler’s 2nd Home Run…. man…. wish we could get some runners on base before Tyler.
We’d be up 4 thru 8 to zero on the Cubs.
O’Neill has spent less cumulative time circling the bases on 34 home runs than I would have on 10 round trippers.
“The St. Louis O’Neills” sort of has a ring to it doesn’t it? I’ll take it over “Perfecto’s” or even “cubbies” any day of the week.
That’s right, Pugs. Somebody needs to tell O’Neill not to pull a hammy sprinting out those home runs.
The way O’Neill is stroking it, I don’t know if I could instruct him to do anything right now, Euro. And to think I wanted Lane Thomas to start over Tyler early this season. I guess that’s why I’m sitting here in beautiful Sun Prairie right now instead of St. Louis.
McLaughlin just said something that I have thought for several years — Max Scherzer has a bit of extra form when he faces the Cards. Wouldn’t hurt my feelings a bit if LA and SF end up tied after Sunday.

Jasper 30Hey Brian? Can we put a ban on posting high school football scores for the rest of the night?
No doubt O’Neill is all turbo mode in this stretch. He probably can do everything well right now except relax. Seems all business, sorta like Goldy, but with more RPMs. Shildt probably torqued him off with the day of rest earlier this week.
