Minus O’Neill, this Abbott fellow has had our number tonight. O’Neill will leadoff the Redbird 6th.

2 dingers by O’Niel. Still would be nice to see a couple other guys get in the game too. Sure would be embarassing to come up lame when we play the wild card game.

Cabby on to pitch the 6th and this fine youngster is absolute money…..with only 2 or 3 hiccups this year…..well those few bad games were pretty big hiccups…..maybe we’ll classify those poor outings as bonafide burps.

Is our crowd actually performing The Wave?? What is this…..90’s Night? I couldn’t be talked into doing The Wave for even a crisp new c-note.

Cabrera fooling around here. Walking 3 guys in the inning.

Now he’s got something wrong with his finger, going to get a new pitcher. Just wow.

Oh oh….Cabby just walked his 3rd batter of the inning. Ahhh I thought so….looks like a blister is the root cause of Cabby’s wild ways this inning. You know if baseball had any heart, if any of these base runners were to score, they wouldn’t be tacked on to Cabby’s nice ERA . Looks like Cabby is hitting the showers.

OK… Farley… just coax a grounder out of the next batter and let’s move on.

Well… so much for the coaxing

Wow….as the cameras pan the stands here tonight, one thing is becoming extremely obvious….. there’s not one single cub fan in the house …of both genders….that could be classified as either normal or good looking …oh no ….Tracy Thompson just jacked a 3 run blow to left and just like that, the cubbies have the lead.

That ball that Thompson hit was down and in and low. I think it was out of the strike zone.

Shildt should have challenged that same thing when we tagged the runner out.

It was exactly the same thing…Edman’s had the tag on when the cubs runners
front leg went past the bag… and the trailing leg wasn’t on the bag yet.

We didn’t challenge….and we should have.

    “Final score from Jasper…..
    Jasper Wildcats 30
    Castle Knights 12
    hee hee hee……….”

There was a little over one minute left in the game and Jasper was on the 4 yard line
and could have scored again. But they took the V formation to run the clock out instead.

Point being…. It could have been Jasper 37 – Castle 12…. which was almost the original
final score prediction.. just reversed. haha

I understand that we have to rest players…. but did we mess with our mojo and will we get it back before next Wednesday. 🙁

Possibility of rain on Saturday and Sunday… that may effect the flow of the games.

Wow – Bader might actually do better swinging at piches that are actually in the strike zone. Not a one of those was.

Bader with a horrible at bat. He should know what they are going to throw. Swings at a first pitch 2 feet off the plate. You have to look for location and that pitch never looked like a down the middle strike.

Great throw by oneil to cut down Contreras. Don’t know why Contreras was looking back but I think that hurt him.

O’Niel the only reason we’re still tied right now. Did I miss something? Spring trainings already started?

Well goldy gets his 99 rbi. We win. I’m a little worried about our offense though. We need to get it going again.
