We need to win one in a row Sunday. That is doable. Jake the Snake will confound them.

Everybody ready? This is one of the most anticipated season games in a long, LONG time. When was the last time we were going for #16 in a row?

Din-din today is a center cut rib chop in the air fryer, some fried eggs, a Mt. Dew, and some Prairie Farms chocolate ice to cap it off. Then a couple of cigars on the couch while me and Whitey Herdog start out watching the Colts/Titans game and then switch over to the Cards/Cubs.

We are in the Cubs heads, which is a switch from the previous six years. We will thrash them again today.

Today is our final regular season road game of the year. We have six at Busch then it is off to Dodger Stadium for the Wainwright-Scherzer showdown.

“start out watching the Colts/Titans game”

The Cardinals game can’t come fast enough Rats.

I can’t put up with Wentz anymore and the Titan’s offense
are just making minceemeat out of our defense.

Well… the Defense came to life with :49 remaining to half… then Wentz takes a SAC!!!! GRRRRRR

Looking forward to some positive play out of the Cardinals here in a bit.

Not a fan but colts should have never got Wentz. One of the most overated players ever in my eyes. But that’s that . Go Cardinals. Win blowing out, better keep ball down.

What has been most impressive to me the last several games is the Starting Pitchers. The hitters can feed off each other, the pitchers are on a small island in the midlle of the field. The pressure to win on them is tougher with the streak. Already tough being in a close race. Woodford has had some pretty good outings. Hopefully another here.

Started good but three weak at bats follow for our big three. Goldy was the only one that saw a pitch he should have struck out on. I guess too much party yesterday

Woodford throwing high but n zone, not sure that’s a good way of going.

A Cards win and loses by the Phillies, Braves, and Reds will clinch the #2 WC today for St. Louis.

As good as we have hit, we are making this guy look like satchell today when he isn’t pitching like that but we got the lead. Woodford has gotten a little lucky so far that it’s still zeros on the board for the cubs. He’s a decent pitcher but I don’t see him as a long term starter. His stuff seems easy to at least foul off and seems like he’s always going to have a high pitch count early.

Get a one run lead, walk lead off batter, makes sense.

Our announcers always jinx our hitters. Just call the game.

Seems like cubs are going to go with multiple pitchers to keep us from adjusting. Better go talk to your coaches and have a plan going up there.

My daughter called just as first pitch was headed toward the plate. Guess I didn’t miss much besides Goldy’s blast. Let’s see some more Redbird offense!

    Another lead off walk, really.

You keep throwing ball high in zone and even a water boy can get a hit.

I agree there kscardfan. We have a day off tomorrow, no reason to worry about the bullpen.

We got someone warming up but it’s miller so really we have no one. Might as well stay with Woodford.

Got lucky there. But he made the catch.
