I actually prefer Busch to the other Anhauser products. In fact sometimes hard to find around here. The stores tend to stock the pricier beers.Put it in a glass and its really good!

Euro is playing with his grandkids.

I’m too young for grandkids, Pugs. If you saw me, you’d say much too young. Well, maybe not — haha. However, first grandkid is due March 16.

Been flipping between the game and Citi Open tennis. Getting geared up for the US Open.

I saw your Nathan Lane reference. Saw him in The Producers on Broadway 20 years ago. Heckuva show.

Carpenter pinch hitting for Kim….. shouldn’t it be the other way around?

Yeah! Just what I predicted….a Carpenter double…DeJong scores….and Tommy E. gets nailed at home compliments of a poor slide.

Very envious, Euro Dandy. Would have loved to have seen that play. Congrats on the upcoming Grandchild!

And once against Shildt does not think ahead. Sure we go the lead but we now ask our bullpen to hold it for 5innings.

Luis Garcia on in relief with a golden opportunity to pick himself up a “W”.

A new rule should be no mound visits before the 6th. They’re useless… the pitcher knows what to do.. as does the hitter. don’t work esp for pitcher like KK who likes to work quickly.

Shades of Jaime Garcia, the fashion with which Luis dispatched of the first two Royals here in the 5th in a 3-2 Cardinal ballgame. Make that a perfect 5th for Luis as he registers his second K of the inning.

Garcia looked good but you know Shildt will pull him… a Cardinals reliever only goes more than inning only if he came in the inning prior to get an out or two.

Welcome David…..Aro rifles a solo blow to left and it’s 4-2 Cards.

I thought Olivares was going to bring that Arenado homer back into the yard for a moment there. A properly timed jump would have.

Does Luis come back for the 6th, David?

A 2 run lead is not enough with this bullpen… add 10 more runs… 2 outs in the 9th and 2 strikes on the hitter with no one on base and the opposing pitcher is batting… then I’ll feel a little more confident..

I remember when Kyle Farnsworth of the cubbies was touching 100 mph on the gun back in the day…… everyone was going ga ga. Now look at pitchers. 50 years from now they might be bringing it at 120.

Luis deserves the “W”……6 Royals have faced Luis and 6 Royals have returned to their dugout shaking their heads sideways.

Here’s the problem with today’s game and how much it’s changed. Earlier I was watching game three of the 87 NLCS. The Cardinals were up 2 Runs on the Giants second and third with one out in the top of the 8th… Worrel Due up and he’d already pitched the 7th but Whitey did not pinch hit because he understood by leaving Worrell in the game gave the Cardinals the best chance of winning and holding onto that lead and that’s when the Cardinals had a pretty good bullpen.

What will Shildt do with Garcia? He’s pitched 2 great innings. Does he pinch hit for him our let him bat?

Garcia should be allowed to hit.

This Brad Michael Keller fellow looks like a horse somewhat in the mold of a Lance Lynn. Obviously he’s nothing close to a Lance Lynn yet, but with some experience and tweaking, who knows? Edman rifles a one out base hit to right sending DeJong scampering around to 3rd and that right there will send the aforementioned Keller to the showers.

Watching the ’87 NLCS earlier today…..sweet, David. I was watching a replay of Game 6 of this year’s NBA finals earlier. Both events had favorable outcomes..

147 gets the hit and puts the Birds up by 3.

Nootbaar….pinch hitting for Garcia, lines a run scoring single to left and it’s 5-2 Birds. I bet Luis would have done the same, if not better, if he had been allowed to swing the lumber, David.
