stlcard25ParticipantDean Ks on a pitch so off that he makes O’Neill and Bader look like Joey Votto.

jj-cf-stlParticipantMy guess is that’s exactly the battery they wanted for today. good foresight.
September 13, 2020 at 2:47 pm #139920Man, how many “Tyler’s” are there in MLB these days. Seems like every team has a couple of them. It’s the new “John” or “Bill”.
September 13, 2020 at 2:49 pm #139921
jj-cf-stlParticipantCarlos went 80 pitches his last outing, now at 87

ParticipantDean’s not having a good game, 25. At least not so far.
September 13, 2020 at 2:51 pm #139923
jj-cf-stlParticipantWe have roughly a 20man crew and four Zack’s. No other multiples
September 13, 2020 at 2:56 pm #139924
jj-cf-stlParticipantBader using the opposite field consistently is a good sign of development.
September 13, 2020 at 3:07 pm #139927I agree with st25 about this home plate ump. Our pitchers have to throw the ball right down the middle to get a strike. Not helpful!!
September 13, 2020 at 3:12 pm #139928Tyler O’Neill makes the catch for the second out, and here is Tyler Stephenson at the plate. We will see if Tyler Webb gets into this game.
Might as well just use last names and assume the first name is “Tyler”. :-). Good point though Cranny, Zack is another popular one. Takes me back to the 1840s when we had John Tyler as president, followed a little later, after James K Polk, by Zachary Taylor.

Participantwell carpenter is getting it done. Good for him, hopefully he can keep it up consistently but thats the problem for mostly everyone on the team.
September 13, 2020 at 3:25 pm #1399301982 willie
Participantthat was horrible, carpenter has to know whose running.
September 13, 2020 at 3:26 pm #139931Webb has pitched the last two nights in a row. I would be very surprised to see him again today.
September 13, 2020 at 3:26 pm #139932Yadi with the base running blunder. That hurts but Bader with the pick me up!
September 13, 2020 at 3:26 pm #1399331982 willie
ParticipantGood pickup bader.
September 13, 2020 at 3:27 pm #139934I don’t think the baserunning problem can be blamed on Carp. It looked to me like Warner was waving Molina home, but Yadi stopped after he was well past the the third base bag.

Fun fact: John Tyler has living grandchildren, with no “great” attached before.

ParticipantWould have been great if wongs ball would have gotten down but we have five runs, may take a few more today though.
September 13, 2020 at 3:28 pm #139937
stlcard25ParticipantNice hitting by O’Neill and Bader.
September 13, 2020 at 3:29 pm #139938Dean was removed due to a sore right elbow. Could Carlson be back this soon?
September 13, 2020 at 3:30 pm #1399391982 willie
ParticipantWould be nice for cabrere to get through this inning here.
September 13, 2020 at 3:32 pm #139940The Cabrera-Reyes duo may be asked to get this game to the ninth. (Well, make that “to the eighth,” as Cabrera did not get through his second inning.)
September 13, 2020 at 3:32 pm #139941Carlson or Justin Williams could get the call up.
September 13, 2020 at 3:33 pm #1399421982 willie
ParticipantI wouldnt bring carlsson back myself. We dont really have to have another outfielder plus shouldnt fowler be coming back soon.
September 13, 2020 at 3:34 pm #139943Or Nogowski or Sosa or Schrock. With Edman a semi-regular OF, the mix changes. Shildt was asked about Williams the other day and his report was more in the middle ground. Fowler is NOT close to being ready.
September 13, 2020 at 3:40 pm #139945bccran
ParticipantCan Sosa play some outfield?
