That is on you NJ!!!
July 22, 2018 at 3:27 pm #61448NJ315
ParticipantLet Carp redeem me!
July 22, 2018 at 3:29 pm #61450NJ315
Participantok Molina will then.
July 22, 2018 at 3:30 pm #61451You know you’re hot when the opposing team’s fans cheer loudly when you routinely ground out, as what Carpenter just experienced in his last at bat.

ParticipantMake Maddon pay for leaving Quintana in
July 22, 2018 at 3:32 pm #61453
stlcard25ParticipantQuintana is 17 pitches past his season high in pitches. His next start would be in St Louis next week. Think all these pitches might leave him weary for the next start? We can hope he has a Wacha 2016 type meltdown after being overworked (as Michael was wont to do).
July 22, 2018 at 3:32 pm #61454One might call that “Carpe diem”, NJ315.
July 22, 2018 at 3:33 pm #61456NJ315
Participant121 pitches for Quintana and he got the job done in the 7th.
July 22, 2018 at 3:33 pm #61457Wish I knew how to use that darn quote feature! It used to be so so easy.
July 22, 2018 at 3:36 pm #61458NJ315
ParticipantMayers walks Russell not a good start
July 22, 2018 at 3:38 pm #61459Pugs – you copy what you want to quote, you press the “B-Quote” button above the posting box, you paste what you’ve copied, and then you press “B-Quote” again
July 22, 2018 at 3:40 pm #61460Thanks, C2016. I just went to the “Questions about the New TCN” thread to copy and paste the answer here for Pugs, but you were faster to the punch!
July 22, 2018 at 3:43 pm #61461
stlcard25ParticipantYep, exactly like Thursday night. It’s getting old getting pantsed every single time our starter can’t go 7 innings because we have zero reliable arms to go to besides Hicks and Norris.
July 22, 2018 at 3:44 pm #61462is it me or does Schiltz appear to be over managing? or perhaps someone can explain to me his decisions. Last night,he took out flaherty after 5 and today Micholas goes 5. I understanding wanting more offense but you’re also relying on an unreliable bullpen to either hold a lead, keep it tied,or stay close.
July 22, 2018 at 3:44 pm #61463If we do indeed lose this one, you just have to give GG ( that’s “Game Goat” to the layman ) honors to NJ315…. this one is on you man!!
July 22, 2018 at 3:45 pm #61464NJ315
ParticipantMunoz bails out slow footed Fowler
July 22, 2018 at 3:47 pm #61465Thank God Carp was playing 1st and not Jose on that high throw by Mayers….the cubbies would be still circling the bases as we speak.
July 22, 2018 at 3:50 pm #61466Let’s give this Jesse Chavez hurler a warm welcome to the Windy City shall we…….how about 3 or 4 runs worth of welcome.
July 22, 2018 at 3:51 pm #61467NJ315
ParticipantMy first GG. I still have time to redeem myself.
July 22, 2018 at 3:51 pm #61468bccran
ParticipantAs a former college starting pitcher, it drives me goofy to see a guy like Mikolas taken out after 5 innings and only 74 pitches.
July 22, 2018 at 3:53 pm #61469If I were in the stands right now I’d be standing up repeatedly shouting “Bring up Schrock The Rock”!! Think they’d cart me off?
July 22, 2018 at 3:54 pm #61470
stlcard25ParticipantOnly three teams in MLB have a lower slugging percentage from the cleanup spot than the Cardinals. Someone has to be better than Ozuna there. Maybe Muñoz can play left? Ha!
July 22, 2018 at 3:54 pm #61471NJ315
ParticipantIt seems Chavez has our number. 9 up 9 down in his brief Cubs career.
July 22, 2018 at 3:55 pm #61472If anyone can redeem themselves under these rough circumstances, it’s you NJ315!!! Let’s see a bit of magic.
What school, Cranny.
July 22, 2018 at 3:57 pm #61473NJ315
ParticipantHave you seen Schrock’s numbers lately?? ugh
