We’ve seen this story before. We all know how this ends.
July 4, 2018 at 10:41 pm #59161Now Lamb singles to center to plate another tally…2-0.
July 4, 2018 at 10:43 pm #59162Another bumble although IDK if he gets Jay at home or not. Likely not! We’re the worst defensive team in the league and do something stupid every night.

ParticipantThese games are cookie cutters.
July 4, 2018 at 10:58 pm #59164Looking at Jose Oquendo…. say he one day becomes our skipper and delivers us a World Series champion or two. Then stays on with the team after his managerial days conclude well into his 90’s. Is he revered by Cardinal fans to the same degree as Red?
July 4, 2018 at 11:04 pm #59165Even though our offense clicked for the first time in forever with O’Neill in it. Let’s just bench him the next two games. He might not be the sole reason but let’s bench him anyway
July 4, 2018 at 11:11 pm #59166Red is a cardinal icon. He’s from the same mold but no. He’s held in pretty high regards.
July 4, 2018 at 11:23 pm #59167It’s pretty quiet here now that the Cardinals have tied up the score. Pham with an RBI driving in Carpenter in the 5th and a home run by Munoz in the 7th. 2-2 in the 7th.
July 4, 2018 at 11:32 pm #59168Pham with another RBI driving in O’Neill in the 7th. 3-2 Cardinals winning.
July 4, 2018 at 11:33 pm #591693-2 Cardinals on an RBI single by Pham. Dyson had to be removed and couldn’t throw it to the plate.
They’ve been talking Greg Holland a little too much for my liking.
July 4, 2018 at 11:42 pm #59170Well….Is this the turning point for the 2018 redbirds?
Likely not but it’s nice to see.
July 4, 2018 at 11:44 pm #591713 run home run by Molina puts the Cardinals up 6-2 heading into the bottom of the 7th.
July 4, 2018 at 11:48 pm #59172Holland with a leadoff walk.
July 4, 2018 at 11:50 pm #59173Get Holland out now!
July 4, 2018 at 11:55 pm #59174So much for Mike Matheny saying “he’d lean towards Greg Holland” against lefties. lol
Stupidity like that should get you fired. Holland should’ve never been in that role. Mayers might not be the correct call but is a better option because he’s got some heat and everyone is waiting on Holland to either throw a ball or throw a hittable fastball. However it’s Hicks!
Holland is out right handed Cecil. He’ll suck for a few outings then pull the wool over your eyes for a bit but you know what’s the likely outcome.
July 4, 2018 at 11:57 pm #59175It’s pretty quiet here now that the Cardinals have tied up the score. Pham with an RBI driving in Carpenter in the 5th and a home run by Munoz in the 7th. 2-2 in the 7th.
Not so quiet now Forsch eh…
July 5, 2018 at 12:00 am #59176Key double play but the D’backs score and it’s 6-4
July 5, 2018 at 12:05 am #59177Nice frame by yadi! 6-4
July 5, 2018 at 12:13 am #59178I can’t blame Matheny TOO much for trying Holland. He had been looking better and it seemed like a good time to give him another try. Although, it was his 4th appearance in 6 days. At least Matheny gave him a quick hook.
July 5, 2018 at 12:17 am #59179Pham can drive this guy
July 5, 2018 at 12:21 am #59180Pham with ANOTHER RBI. 8-4 Cardinals.
July 5, 2018 at 12:36 am #59181Pham update
so far
6 for 45
14 for 73
26 for 129
79 games 80 strikeoutsPham has as many hits tonite as he had in his previous 40 ABs
Really good ABs by Carpenter and Pham top 8th.July 5, 2018 at 12:55 am #59182We need Pham to bring more power unless someone steps up and provides more run support on offense. We can’t rely on Ozuna. He needs to bat down in the order.
July 5, 2018 at 12:57 am #59183Is this cramping? It was 79 in the dome before the game started.
July 5, 2018 at 1:00 am #59184Nice win! 2-4 vs. the Giants wont impress me though.
