BS call at home plat he was out and replay shows he was out WTF are these umps looking at????
September 5, 2018 at 8:38 pm #68362
stlcard25ParticipantGnats strike again. This bullpen simply cannot get out of their own way this series. And I can’t understand why Mikolas even came back for the 7th at his pitch count.
September 5, 2018 at 8:39 pm #68363Hudson has been good, just was not tonight. Then again, Mikolas should never have been sent out to start the inning.

jj-cf-stlParticipantEdmonds questions why Hudson is still in the game
September 5, 2018 at 8:43 pm #68365Hudson always seems to have issues throwing strikes and he has personally allowed Nats to be within 1 and he still can’t get a SINGLE OUT!
September 5, 2018 at 8:44 pm #68366Our Birds can’t get out of our nation’s capital fast enough!
September 5, 2018 at 8:47 pm #68367Do we have a pitching coach somewhere in the system that can teach our staff how to throw strikes? I know the game has led to power pitching and that leads to less control, but geesh.
September 5, 2018 at 8:50 pm #68368stupid stupid stupid baseball yadi
September 5, 2018 at 8:52 pm #68369An overworked bullpen in August is showing in September. Schildt has to start letting his starters pitch out of their own jams. If any Cardinal starter gives up 2 base runners past the 4th, They’ll be pulled without given a chance to get out of it. Sure, its great if the bullpen holds the runners but over time its gonna catch up.. Anyone know How many innings the starters pitched as compared to the bullpen? in August.
September 5, 2018 at 8:53 pm #68370In all of the chaos last inning and Bader just barely missing on a couple of crucial plays (just missing the catch and just missing the assist on the play at the plate), it’s ironic that my takeaway is to say watching Bader roam center field is almost worth the price of admission in and of itself. If this guy can stay explosive and healthy for many years, his impact will be hard to overstate.
September 5, 2018 at 8:55 pm #68371replay shows Bader got back in to 1b now lets see if they have enough brains to actually over turn this correctly
September 5, 2018 at 8:56 pm #68372Bader has been a nice surprise
September 5, 2018 at 8:56 pm #68373THese umps and instant replay is a JOKE nothing but JOKE even missed calls they don’t bother over turning why have it if it isnt going to work CORRECTLY….STUPID replay officals are blind and sTUPID as can be
September 5, 2018 at 8:57 pm #68374
stlcard25ParticipantScrewed on two replays in this game now.
September 5, 2018 at 8:58 pm #68375Lets not blame Maddux for Hudson not throwing strikes… Hudson is the same pitcher who got machado to ground out with the bases loaded. Same pitcher who with the bases loaded and 1 out… got a double. This all happened since his call up. He had an off night,it happens to even the greatest of pitchers regardless of who the pitching coach is.
September 5, 2018 at 8:58 pm #68376how can the replay people be so dang STUPID?
September 5, 2018 at 8:59 pm #68377Wasn’t blaming Maddux, our staff has struggled with the strike zone for a few years.
September 5, 2018 at 9:00 pm #68378
jj-cf-stlParticipantLook on the bright side, we could have Norris pitching with a 1 run lead….
September 5, 2018 at 9:00 pm #68379I’d like to see CMart close it out. Please don’t bring in you know who.
September 5, 2018 at 9:00 pm #68380Of course we don’t know what we’re going to get with Martinez due to his erratic control, but if he is solid in the 8th, don’t you have to let him go again in the 9th?
September 5, 2018 at 9:01 pm #68381
stlcard25ParticipantWe need good Carlos tonight, and preferably for 2 innings.
September 5, 2018 at 9:02 pm #68382
jj-cf-stlParticipantO wait
September 5, 2018 at 9:02 pm #68383
stlcard25ParticipantCarlos seems to have his velocity tonight, hitting 98.
September 5, 2018 at 9:06 pm #68384
stlcard25ParticipantThey need a new position for their mic. The clapping from that person all the time is annoying.
September 5, 2018 at 9:06 pm #68385
stlcard25ParticipantNice play by Dejong there. Harper up now. Could be the at bat of the game here.
