Wow! I go take a phone call and when I return, both Bader and Gant have gone yard….that’s what I call a “long distance” telephone call….sweet!
Anyone know what Gant is registering on the gun tonight?
Gant’s hitting mid-90s (94-95) and looking pretty good.
All NL Central contenders have tallied 2 runs today. Milwaukee polished off the Reds 2-1 in 11 earlier today and both the Cards & cubs hold 2-0 leads in the early goings of their games this evening. Let us hope the cubs stand pat with their 2 and we get way off our 2.
Cards open their 4th inning going station to station….at all stations with the first 3 batters hitting singles….bases full of Redbirds with no outs.
When you have the sacks full and no outs, if you don’t come away with at least 2 runs then you have to look at the opportunity as not a successful one…..well, that was just the case with the Cardinal 4th as we only plate 1 run on a groundout. 3-0 Cards as we mozzy along to the 5th.
I cannot stand watching Greg Garcia attempt to use a baseball bat. Surely he is not a better hitter than Wisdom.
BlackHills another of the growing anti-GregGarcia posters. Wisdom I really like too, BHC…..love to see him play more as he’s been a gamer when called upon. Pirates hit a few 5th inning lasers, but fortunately have didily-squat to show for it. Still 3-0 Cards heading to the bottom half of inning #5.

The wifey is begging for my attention, gentlemen…..can you blame her????? She wants me to watch that blasted “Big Brother” show with her. I can’t tell her this, but it’s like one step ahead of “Romper Room. Bring us home the big “W”……failure is NOT an option!
