stlcard25ParticipantNice hitting by Yadi…he’s heating up with the double.
July 29, 2018 at 8:34 pm #62916Yadi is going to crank 20 dingers this year. 10-12 years ago, I would have thought that was an impossibility. They say we guys do not reach our full raw strength peak until about age 40.
July 29, 2018 at 8:36 pm #62917Hendricks is fooling nobody here in the 1st…..except maybe Carpenter.
July 29, 2018 at 8:36 pm #62918
stlcard25ParticipantOzuna slams one out to left! 2-1 Cards
July 29, 2018 at 8:36 pm #62919Ozuna goes yard!! 2-1 Birds!
July 29, 2018 at 8:38 pm #62920What a disappointing year Gyrko has had.
July 29, 2018 at 8:43 pm #62922
stlcard25ParticipantPham just watched all those pitches go by. Is he struggling to pick up Hendricks or just struggling to pick up anyone?
July 29, 2018 at 8:50 pm #62923
stlcard25ParticipantGant is struggling to stay in the zone and not getting much in the way of calls. Gotta buckle down here.
July 29, 2018 at 8:50 pm #62924Gant can’t find the zone!
July 29, 2018 at 8:51 pm #62925Yep, I don’t get it with the Pham AB. It looked like he was sitting on something specific on a 1-2 count. You know that couldn’t be the case though. Just a terrible approach at the plate that time. Maybe he can’t see tonight.
I wonder if his eye condition is worse for night games. I’ve never looked that one up.
July 29, 2018 at 8:57 pm #62927
stlcard25ParticipantGant makes his pitch and gets out of it. Now let’s get back to smoking the ball off the slow pitch guy.
July 29, 2018 at 8:57 pm #62928Well we are only in the 2nd inning and 2011SeemsForever has already nailed down his prediction of ESPN showing Bryant in the cubs dugout at least 3 times….good show, 2011Seems!
July 29, 2018 at 9:01 pm #62929Munoz can flat out hit!
July 29, 2018 at 9:03 pm #62931
stlcard25ParticipantMuñoz really does put together a good at bat. I like him going forward to be our Greg Garcia utility guy.
July 29, 2018 at 9:05 pm #62932
stlcard25ParticipantMarp has cooled off. Hendricks is the kind of guy you’d think he would crush.
July 29, 2018 at 9:08 pm #62933
stlcard25ParticipantRizzo homers to tie it.
July 29, 2018 at 9:09 pm #62934Rizzo just eclipses the center field wall on a Gant meatball and we have ourselves a tie ballgame.
July 29, 2018 at 9:15 pm #62935Gant got crushed by all four hitters in the 3rd. Hope his reflexes are working well tonight. Very lucky he gave up just one run after being on the receiving end of all that lumber.
July 29, 2018 at 9:20 pm #62936
stlcard25ParticipantJunkball Hendricks is getting into a rhythm. Need to start smoking this guy again.
July 29, 2018 at 9:23 pm #62937It’s tough watching our guys whiff against Hendricks…he throws like a batting practice pitcher. Easier said than done, of course, but you know he’s going to throw strikes or at least very close to the plate, so when in doubt, swing.
July 29, 2018 at 9:28 pm #62941Yeah but you know how this offense rolls at times.
July 29, 2018 at 9:31 pm #62942
stlcard25ParticipantCubs one of the leaders for Chris Archer? I dunno what they’re gonna trade unless it’s from the big league club.
July 29, 2018 at 9:33 pm #62943
stlcard25ParticipantAfter that first inning, it’s looking really likely that Hendricks goes at least 6 innings. Gotta gave Gant match him.
July 29, 2018 at 9:37 pm #62945Fowler for sure should be taylor made for Hendricks fastball.
July 29, 2018 at 9:39 pm #62946Hope that doesn’t lead to something…
