Yeah, at 23 years of age, he shouldn’t have any need for new grease fittings. In my view, it’s entirely possible that those two shiny bicycle chains that he always has hanging around his neck while he mans up at SS could be contributing to the presense of added and unnecessary stress and strain on his primary support column…
If Winn would back off hunting grip and rip pitches he can pull, he’d be doing his back and effectiveness a favor.
He has the talent and tools to hit .300 w/a .350 obp, which I see as his careers best path. Hopefully he matures past the SLG phase quickly and realizes it will happen on its own. He owns RF when it’s his primary approach.

This Pozo kid has looked good. He and Pages are kind of clones – both are pretty darn good part time catchers with from what little I have seen, Pozo being a bit better with the stick.
Oh, and one trend early on seems to be that we usually outhit the other guys, but don’t outscore them all that often.
Kind of an odd deal. I think we are pretty good on offense, just need better timing. If the pitching can gel a little and get better, we might surprise some folks, including ourselves.
Contemplating a din-din triple header. Of course I had catfish fiddlers on Friday. Then for Game 2 last night, I gulped down another batch of the fiddlers. Then upon awaking this morning, I thought to myself “why not go the distance……why not do the fiddlers for all 3 games”??? So catfish fiddlers it shall be, accompanied by some baked beans, deviled eggs and then a trip on over to the drive-thru lane at Popeye’s for 3 scrumptious apple cinnamon pies.

Gee Wheeler threw 7 pitches in the 1st and 7 in the 2nd. If he keeps that up he’ll toss…….let’s see 7 times 9 is……..56….no…….63…….63 pitches just might set a ML record for 9 innings. We just may have to check with Skippy and all of our good friends over at the esteemed Elias Sports Bureau for the answer to that burning question.
Ha! That “thick brushpile” is quite the sight for sore eyes, TD. I’ve had a beard myself for years, but I trim it every morning so it looks like I just haven’t shaved in a couple of days…..kind of gives me that tough guy look that some of the ladies kind of dig. I haven’t really benefited from that yet, but it does lend me some hope.
