Lester has 3 starts this year with 1 earned run on his ledger, one with 5 and one with 8. Hopefully we get one of the down starts. I would imagine that the lineup will be heavy on the right handed batters tonight. Perhaps Ravelo will DH?

Nice post, Stlcard25. Would love to see Ravy DH tonight. I’ve been surprised that Kim hasn’t been on the receiving end of more Cardinal Nation love. Our post season rotation of Flaherty, Waino, Kim and Hudson is looking to be most formidable.

Oh oh….looks like I was a bit late to the party as I just now noticed Brian’s post regarding Kim. I blame it on last night’s Wild Turkey.

Pugs…..Today’s lunch menu will feature a center cut rib chop in the air fryer, a couple of more ears of Aces High sweet corn, some cut Italian green beans, a Pepsi or two, and a piece of banana cream pie from the Amish restaurant.

My late night snack tonight as I watch Barnaby Jones will be a bar-b-q rib sandwich and an Almond Joy bar along with a cigar.

Esteemed Rat, my only question is: What channel runs Barnaby Jones reruns?

    1964cards,

Barnaby Jones episodes are on my DVD. I have all the DVDs. Usually watch Barnaby on Friday nights but with it being baseball season I watch on Sunday nights alot.

We have struggled against Lester in the past but he seems a bit more shaky these days. Maybe we can do some damage. I would expect O’Neill, Bader, and Thomas to be in the OF with Edman at 3B. Good call on Ravelo at DH.

Like I mentioned last night I am growing more concerned about Edman’s defense at 3B. His arm is plenty strong enough but too often he simply can’t field the ball. Carp has little arm strength but he can usually field the ball cleanly. It is quite the dilemma.

Rat, I am more partial to MASH reruns. I have every episode saved and I watch them frequently.

Rat, I have always liked The Rockford Files. All of these episodes are on the Peacock Channel now and I have been slowly work my way through the collections.

This was a notable exception. I’d take it again.

The pup and I are headed up toward Wrigley for a walk before the game, I’ll be wearing my Goldy jersey and Cards hat with the pup sporting his Cards bandana. If you never hear from me again, you’ll know why…

Has anything been mentioned about CMart? I’m starting to think he secretly ended up on the naughty list during the outbreak.

I think Brian mentioned that he’s on track to start Tuesday. I’d personally rather not see him face that Twins lineup that pummeled him last time, but we need arms.

It will be interesting to see who looks the best at the plate tonight –
    Bader, O’Neill, Thomas, or Rangel.

Love both 1964Cards’ “The Rockfish Files” and Scotty’s “MASH”. Was there ever a funnier character than Frank Burns? And you gotta love how Rat usually mingles in one healthy item amongst his dinner table full of not-so-good for you goodies…..typical Rat dinner of 3 hot dogs, bag of potato chips, cheesy hash browns, 2 robust pieces of banana cream pie, cigar….and some green beans.

Which Lester will we get tonight? He’s been pretty awful of late. But unfortunately, this evening we get the good John Lester.
