I’ve been saying this for a while, but I see him taking a route like Andy Green did. Managed in the minors in Arizona’s system, then was their 3rd base coach for a season, and then was offered the Padres gig. Stubby, I believe, will have a role with the big league squad and then will be offered an MLB managerial position for the 2020 season.
Anyone have any real knowledge of Young’s defense?
I went to about 50 Springfield games last year, so I saw Andy after his call-up to AA. He’ll get the job done at 2B. Nothing stood out to me either way for him. He’ll play roughly average defense, but the bat more than makes up for it, assuming it continues to play as he climbs the ladder.
