Since most sports geeks are also classic movie geeks I have a rainy day trivia Q for you guys:

What well known movie monster NEVER killed anyone?

For bonus points: What well known movie monster killed the MOST people?

    Clue: both are pre-1960

Had a good fish dinner at noon. As long as the hush puppies are right… good slaw too.

Big coin show this weekend at the st Charles conv center. We spent a couple hours there this morning and were fortunate to find many coins on our wish list. Came home with more cash than we spent, which was surprising considering how pleased we were.

Dom I thought you would be the easy winner of this quiz

One more clue: not giant monsters like Godzilla or Kong. Just regular size monster dudes

    Still no Cardinal baseball.

I will say, let’s see, The Invisible Man (if he is considered a monster), and for the most Dracula.

Kudos Bike! Claude Rains redirected a train with 120 passengers meeting the maker

You must be a true Universal Studio monster geek

How about the kindest monster? One final clue: the movie had a remake many years later and he killed nobody in that version either!

BTW Bike: Dracula was a very good guess as he did slaughter the entire ship’s crew on the way to England. That would Trump King Kong as the elevated train body count is undetermined So The Count ranks #2

There was some link the Cardinals may be looking at Eovaldi….he got lit up by the Orioles tonight 6 earned in 5 innings

Think he is owed $20 mill next year…not sure the Rangers are selling yet….not sure he would be much help, maybe they take Matz off are hands as part of it.

He did have a good post season last year

The other starting pitcher they were linked to is Eflin….he also pitched tonight and gave up 4 earned in 5 innings in a loss to the Yankees

Card 64: Frankenstein is also a damn good choice as he only killed one person in anger, Fritz, as he was being tormented by the little humpback prick. But he did up the body count in the follow up movies

Interesting note: Wolfman Talbot killed nobody in his final 2 movie appearances: House of Dracula and Abbot and Costello meet Frankie 🙂

Just let Gray start the first and last one.

He’s pitching at noon today so there you go.

Ole rubber arm Gray to the rescue.

I love those old Universal monster movies, and have a DVD collection of them. Also as as a kid I had a bunch of these Aurora monster models – 8 of them. Let’s see, Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolfman, Creature, Jekyll/Hyde, Hunchback, Mummy, and….man, why can’t I think of the other one.

Maybe it is Quasimodo – the Hunchback of Notre Dame that killed nobody?

I remember those figures well, Bike. And the reason you don’t remember the last one is because you didn’t buy it!

It was the Invisible man dressed in a red house robe and ascot. Not near as cool as the other ones

Quasimodo reigned huge stones on the rabble below squashing a couple of men in close-up shots

    The correct answer is…

Burleson got down the line pretty darn good on that grounder in his first AB. He seems to have at least average speed.
