“Him coming out of the game doesn’t bother me. It’s their limiting him to no more than 85 pitches ever since that bothers me.”

I was there too, but if this is a play it safe as he tires approach, I’ve grown to like it. He’s still starting, not IL, and lets no forget that MIN rode him like a rented mule. As a FA-to-be, he was a rental.

If, IF, IF Sonny is nursing a hammy, we should bring “warrior” back into the discussion.

Otherwise, 7.2 IP, w/2 ER allowed is fine by me. It’s the deepest Gray has gone all season, but because the reliever behind him failed, we need another out from Gray, right?

Bob, I enjoy reading much of what you write about. You have a fun flare with the way you can tell your story and you’re able to go in depth into data to show us things we may not have realized. But this pure disdain for Oliver Marmol and everything he does is unbecoming. You may not agree with most of what he does. I certainly don’t agree with some of what he does. But he’s not an idiot. And you shouldn’t refer to him that way even in the recesses of The Cardinal Nation comments. It makes you sound like a pompous asshole and I don’t think that’s the message you want to give off. Some commenters on here may truly just be fools. But you’re not. So stop coming across as one.

No problem speaking your mind, Jnevel, but a couple of those words you used in association with Bobby are way off base. You’re both cool cats, let’s nip this in the bud and carry on.

Understood Pugs. I appreciate the corrective monitoring.

This is definitely nothing personal for me.

There is almost a calmness in Bob Reeds evaluations, as he gleens just the right metrics and starting point, to build a foundation that you know is legit, and then lets the numbers play out as they did. His evaluations are like a storyline of, “here’s how it got here”, and no numbers get played around with to meet an agenda.

When I open the forum page, I look for a Bob Reed reply. Just the damn truth, ok? Been that way a long time for me. If it turns out to be a Marmol driveby, I go to another thread and impatiently wait for his next player evaluation.
