Cardinals have turned 72 DP’s this season. Best I can tell only two teams have turned more. I don’t know if that’s good or bad because the 2 teams are the A’s and the Rockies.

Bell is hitting the smorgasbord with Burly after the game.

Of all players, Siani barrels up for a tater to hand Gray and the Cardinals a 1-0 lead.

I don’t gamble. I wonder the betting odds on siani hitting a hr. I googled it but don’t know how to evaluate the data.

I don’t blame Sanchez for being a little, uh…confused? That call 3rd strike was at the top of his cleats. I think the HPU knows he blew the call or he would have run Jesus for the way he reacted…Haha!

Yeah, especially when facing a lefty, KCB.

Might as well move Siani into the middle of the order to provide some thumpage.

Good night Irene the Cardinals Offense, if you want to call it that, is god awful….this Garret guy had like a 6 ERA coming into this game

Yeah, no kidding. The only run the Cardinals can push across against this lousy team is on a solo tater from a player who has 1 HR in his 3 year career.

    BicycleMike:

With Contreras I would prefer sending Herrera down, but that is a tough one.

I was thinking he was out of options and we wouldn’t be able to, but I was surprised to see Herrera had 1 more option year. After looking, Herrera was given a 4th by MLB. I had forgotten about that.

Everyone always wants to add an arm or two, but if the Cardinals are in the hunt at the deadline is there an OF’er or someone who could slot at DH with some thump in his bat who could be added to this team to generate some offense? The pitching’s been entirely up to snuff.

Gorman watches all 3 of them go right on by.

I understand him watching strike 3 there. That wasn’t even close.

Looked like a pretty good breaking pitch. At any rate, it was close enough to where there’s a pretty good chance the HPU’s going to ring him up. He ain’t Albert Pujols…

1TD, if we really wanted to make a splash, we would trade for Luis Robert if he is healthy. Robert is always a player I am iffy on though. He is great with the glove in CF and bat when he is playing, but he gets injured so often. The White Sox will have a huge asking price for him too.

Sounds like he’s too high on the food chain for Johnny and Co. They’ll probably pick up an addition to the BP.

Herrera gets sawed off and lobs one oppo into RF for the 2 out 2 RBI base hit…And then Sanchez drops his watch…Haha!

Now Donovan makes them pay for the E-9 Das Boot!

Herrera is one of their better hitters, no way they are sending him down

Any outfielder hitting over .250 with some pop would be dramatic improvement like a Tayler Ward type….though I think he is at .240
