Yeah, don’t understand pulling Pallante here. He was getting hit some, but not hammered around.

Man, you gotta like how Pages runs the game and plays defense. He’s really yucking it up with the home plate ump. Dang, thought he nailed that one – hard to overturn though it was so close.

I had to walk outside and talk with the lawn guys. Why’s Pallante out of the game?

Throw to third was a strike

Frustrating that Pallante gets charged with 2 earned runs. That first one should have been an error.

Yeah. I think Pages had him. But the replay was too close to overturn. Stolen Off Roycroft. Not Pages.

Seemed like a silly risk for the Cubs to steal 3B with 2 outs, but it worked.

Every team the Cardinals play look like the Runnin’ Redbirds of the 80’s.

Glad I was wrong on Pallante as he was throwing well. Don’t understand Ollie making this a bullpen game now.

Crow-Armstrong then steals 2nd on a 22 foot lead. Roycroft terrible at holding runners.

I’ve grown accustomed to it, Bikemike. No one checks on the baserunner anymore.

Andre may have given up two also. He had first and third, 1 down, DP in order. I doubt it, but who knows.

So 6 innings of bullpen. Buckle up!

They changed the “hit” to an error on Roycroft as they should have.

LOVE that camera shot of the Cubs flag at the bottom where it belongs!

I detest 2 out BB’s almost as much as the lead-off variety.

Roycroft couldn’t find the baseball on the E-1, now he can’t find HP.

How’s the game plan going now Oli?

Hard to believe that with 2 outs and the bases empty in a 1 run game that a pitcher would mysteriously become seemingly frightened to throw a strike and promptly walk the bases jammed. Painful to watch.

One run ain’t gonna win it.

    Neither will 2 if you’re a Redbird.

We will probably see Loutos for Roycroft after the game.

There’s a base hit. How about a SB from Winn?

This lefty may be hard to get a lead on. I’ll bet he has a good move to 1B.
