This guy’s 1-5 this season with a career ERA at an even 6.00 and he’s held the Cardinals scoreless through 5 on 1 hit.
Let’s face it guys. 3 of our projected starters are on the IL. The two guys we paid to produce runs are both abject failures. Our projected right fielder is learning to hit in the minors. Our bench was selected for “Leadership”, not because they could play. The guys left are to be applauded. But it’s going to be a roller coaster ride trying to score enough runs.
Ah that 2nd error was Montero. Still amazing how much we won that Arenado trade and they are still paying part of his contract. Even with Arenado’s decline, we easily got our value out of that deal.
That’s a little better. Cardinals take a 1 run lead after scoring 4 runs in the 6th. None of them earned…Haha!
I’m hoping we can avoid Romero somehow and let him rest a day. He just doesn’t look as sharp lately when he gets overworked.
Tovar has a bright future. I wish we could sign Winn to an extension like Colorado did Tovar last offseason
At least Colorado has a poor bullpen. We just need to out score them. Not our forte. But it worked last night.
If there’s a sunny side to that last half inning it’s that neither one of those SB’s made any difference…Haha!
