Well, I think the org’s thinking is its OK for Firmin to sit around playing irregularly, but its not OK for Baker to do it. Altering the modus operandi by having an assigned DH, all or most of the time, would be out of character, and having a Baker/Goldy DH/1B shuffle makes so much sense it would probably get someone Shildted for suggesting it. The bronze busts are fixed in their spot, and and any sort of development must detour around them, including Baker.
