Always fun to see the little kids having the time of their life at the game!

There’s that bump-out again. Need a 2 out base hit from Siani.

That fielding error caused Lynn to throw 11 extra pitches and cost our team the lead. That sort of thing was routine last year. It’s been a lot less this season, but lately we haven’t been as crisp.

I joined right when I think I heard them say Liberatore is starting Saturday? Hopefully this time is the charm and he can earn that spot and make me not look dumb for having faith in him.

Yep. At least the bottom half of our lineup is coming up. Lately that’s a plus.

Lance with another hardscrabble, workmanlike performance in tonight’s turn with 0 ER’s allowed on only 2 hits, 0 BB’s and 5 K’s in 6 IP’ed. I like to make fun of him all the time, but he scraps and scuffles for every out and I really enjoy watching him work. Many of us recall when Lance made his debut in 2011 during a time of that season when the Redbird BP was in a veritable shambles. Along with Salas and a couple of other guys, Lynn went a long way towards solidifying the relief corps. We don’t catch the Braves without him. I’m happy to see him in a Cardinal uniform again.

According to the above post, a ticket holder for the suspended game won’t be allowed admission to attend and watch the completion of the game they’ve already paid for. That constitutes a genuine rip-off. If this is indeed correct and I held a ticket for that game and was denied admission, I’d file a report with the police stating that I’d been a victim of a theft by means of fraudulent deception.

TD I am sure there is fine print saying they can screw the customer with impunity.

It says they get a voucher for a future home game in 2024. I don’t know how anyone is getting screwed. They got to see 5 1/2 innings last night + a future game.

The only reason they would be upset is if they specifically wanted to see the Orioles.

So, are you implying that it’s no big deal to be denied seeing the conclusion of the game you’ve been watching? Maybe you’re right. I can imagine being seated in the top of the 9th for the 6th game and being approached by an usher…”Excuse me sir, it’s time to leave now, but we’ll provide you with a voucher for opening day 2012″…Haha!

It looks like there could be some more green stuff headed towards St. Louis today. I hope this doesn’t turn out to be a royal pain. The Orioles are at the White Sox on Thursday night so they can’t stay over for a Thursday game.

I am leaving for the weekly din-din at the Gasthof, the Amish restaurant. Roast beef, fish, mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, noodles, dressing, cherry cobbler, sweet iced tea, and some vanilla soft serve ice cream.

I’ll be checking the IPhone throughout the afternoon.

Gorman with the two run bomb. No doubt he will be sitting in Game 2 today since he is getting hot.

Took the series from the might O’s.

Is this a turn around or just a flash in the pan?

    Time will tell.

Gorman was 2-2 with a double, HR, BB and all three RBI’s that game.

When I was in college, I worked at the Marriott downtown next to the stadium. All the people from out of town would come in on Thursday or Friday, leave on Sunday after the game.

I live over 3 hours away from the stadium. A lot of the time I will drive down the day of the game and drive home when the game is over. It would be inconvenient for any rescheduled game.

Of course it would, Forsch, but what’s even even more inane is preventing a fan from seeing the conclusion of the game that he’s paid for and watched the first 6 innings! That was a tie game. You’re going to kick me out of the ballpark for the final 3 innings? I’d have a serious issue with that.

I don’t understand the concept of a suspended game. There shouldn’t be suspended games and so ticketing related issues should never come up. If it goes five it is a game whether it is called or resumes. If it is less than 5 it doesn’t count, in which case the paying customer should get a refund. Who came up with this suspended game nonsense.

I wouldn’t expect a refund, but I strongly I feel I’m entitled to use my ticket stub as a raincheck to gain admission to finish watching the baseball game that I paid to see and watched the first 5 or 6 innings. I feel I’m entitled to a seat to see the outcome of that game. It’s nuts.

I think the issue they had was kicking those people out who bought tickets for last night’s game but not today’s in between games.

The game was tied 1-1 in the sixth.
