Herrera wants to play every day.
April 10, 2024 at 12:52 pm #247448
jj-cf-stlParticipantContreras may catch less than we expected. Herrera just keeps driving the ball.

stlcard25ParticipantThat Herrera kid may turn out to be a pretty good ball player for us. He’s teeing off lately.
April 10, 2024 at 1:20 pm #247451
stlcard25ParticipantTie ballgame. Nola hasn’t been too sharp but he’s been bailed out on some free swinging at times by Cardinals.
April 10, 2024 at 1:24 pm #247452Per John Denton Tommy cleared to start swinging. Could be 2 weeks.
April 10, 2024 at 1:33 pm #247453Burly starting to hit. Maybe there should be a thread about it.
April 10, 2024 at 1:36 pm #247454I’ve noticed Herrera almost always goes up to the pitcher, does a fist pound or butt smack and says good job or something. I love that.
His glove and bat have impressed me so far to say the least.
I like them both, but I don’t see Goldy and Contreras both on the 2025 team.

jj-cf-stlParticipantKCB, that cracked me up!
April 10, 2024 at 1:58 pm #247458
jj-cf-stlParticipantSomebody once said “if you keep winning series, you’ll be alright”.

Pallante pulled. That was ugly.April 10, 2024 at 2:09 pm #247462
stlcard25ParticipantPallante practically waving the runners around the bases there. Talk about ruining a game quickly.

jj-cf-stlParticipantScott is off today, not right

jj-cf-stlParticipant2 on, 2 out, Arenado up, bottom 8th

jj-cf-stlParticipantSingle to CF by Arenado, 4-3 PHI

Where did his FB velocity go? He’s down almost 3.5 MPH from last year, barely averaging 90 MPH. Worth monitoring as this is now a multi-game trend.
April 10, 2024 at 3:15 pm #247472
jj-cf-stlParticipantScott may have earned his demotion today.
April 10, 2024 at 3:25 pm #247473It’d be a shame to stand in the rain for 3 hours and lose this game. Need a couple of runs.
April 10, 2024 at 3:26 pm #247474
jj-cf-stlParticipantThat leadoff single sounded good off Burly’s bat. Siani pinch runs.
April 10, 2024 at 3:30 pm #247475
jj-cf-stlParticipantDP ends it. Back below sea level
April 10, 2024 at 3:30 pm #247476Winn flies out and Walker bounces into a DP.
4-3 Philadelphia the final.
Off to Arizona…….
April 10, 2024 at 3:43 pm #247477For a guy who’s getting long in the tooth and looks like he should lay off the Bavarian Bizmarks, you have to acknowledge that LL battles when he takes his turn.
April 10, 2024 at 3:48 pm #247478Tough game for Scott. That little turn at first did not look like it was enough to call him out. He just turned around and walked back to the base. Is that all you have to do? I thought you had to make an effort to go to second. All he did was turn around, but turn to his left rather than right. He made no step towards second or anything like that.
April 10, 2024 at 3:49 pm #247479If Noot is back Friday, I would play him in center until Carlson is ready.
