Bottom of 7. Wheeler still dealing for Philly.
Herrera – Lines a solid single to right to get things cooking for the Cards.
Burly – Walks on 4 straight unstraight pitches. Siani pinch running for Burly and will also inherit Burly’s defensive responsibilities.
Winn – Pops out to the 2nd baseman Stott out in very short right field.
Scott – Grounds it out to 2nd where Stott flips to 2nd base for one, but not in their wildest dreams will they complete the DP with Victor whizzing down the 1st base line…..Herrera takes 3rd base.
Scott goes to 2nd base on a pitch in the dirt that caroms up and catches Realamuto in an unprotected area of the neck…..and a trainer is quickly summoned out to check on the Phillies receiver. And he’ll leave this ballgame.
Donovan – On 3-2 Brendan flys out to Marsh in deep left-center field to retire the side.

Phillies 0A few probably recall Yeager being impaled in the neck by a shard of a splintering bat. It was scary and led to that neck guard that they used to call a “Billy Goat’s Beard.” At any rate, I’ll bet Realmuto wishes he’d have have had one in place. That baseball to the throat could kill you deader than yesterday.
I know we have another frame to go, but if you had to award JUST ONE game ball tonight, who gets it? Sonny? Kitty? Jo Jo? Burly? Gorman?
Who has the ninth? Guess it has to be Helsley again.

Man, how long can we have Goldy at the two spot? Right now you have to think Winn would be better there. Hope Goldy gets it going – hard to watch.
