lol, ya think! It has been so bad all year we have just gotten used to it! For me, if it’s not Winn or Burleson up with RISP I just basically give up! I think back to 2012, 13, 14 when we hit with RISP! It was a beautiful thing!
This season’s standings illustrate the degree of overall mediocrity in both leagues in the sense that not a solitary division leader features a W/L pct. of .600 or above. After those six division leaders, there’s an extensive collection of teams that could aptly be described by shrugging your shoulders and muttering something like, “I guess they’re kinda’ good”…There’s really not a lot to get too excited about in the baseball world in 2024. I’d say we need someone who knows how to inject a little fun and excitement back into the game of baseball. I miss guys like Bill Veeck.
Man that guy Steer is really beefing up the Redleg offense. He is making hamburger out of our hurler.

I hate this game. Lately, I kind of hate this team. I had some hope at the beginning of the season. I had a little more hope after the team played far better in May and June. But then it became apparent that we weren’t good enough and I advocated for trading Helsley and possibly Kittredge and keeping Carlson. Instead we trade Edman away right before he’s finally ready to return. That wasn’t terrible. But it wasn’t great either. Then we traded Carlson for a player who is not good and hurts our ability to call up pitchers because he has no options. It’s like having Carpenter. Another useless spot on the roster clogged up with someone who is redundant. And while I’m angry this team is playing so poorly this game, I’m also kind of hoping we lose 25 games in a row to get a better draft pick and truly wake up and stop playing entitled.
Well, Tommy Pham was their 3 slot hitter tonight and I’m of the mindset that they’ll never win anything worthwhile under the current leadership, but it’s my guess that they probably won’t lose 25 in a row.
It’s been clear to me they aren’t going anywhere since the allstar break. Tears me up. It really got to me when I realized that not only do the Royals have a better record than the Cardinals and beat them 3 out of 4 games, but they are a better organization in every way. It’s going to take a lot to exite me until they clean house.
After tonight we are about as close the basement of the NL Central and we are to a playoff spot! If I had to bet which one of the two we might get, it ain’t gonna be the playoffs! lol!
