OK, Arenado with sacks jammed. This is what bronze busts are for.
August 2, 2024 at 2:21 pm #262746Never a good thing when the opposing pitcher logs 75 pitches in the first 3 innings……….and you only have 1 run to show for it
August 2, 2024 at 2:22 pm #262747To try to pull outside pitches thrown out of the zone with loaded bases? That’s what they’re here for?
August 2, 2024 at 2:25 pm #262748Fedde’s looks resemble a cross between Timothy Bottoms of “Field of Dreams” fame and Danny Most of “Happy Days”.
August 2, 2024 at 2:26 pm #26274973 pitches in. 4 have been swinging strikes. Well, 5 if you count a foul tip. That’s the issue. That and the fact that Wrigley has those stupid baskets.
August 2, 2024 at 2:27 pm #262750Ok, we need to hit the cubbies with 2 runs here in the 4th……3 would be nice, but 2 will do for now.
August 2, 2024 at 2:30 pm #262752Lars needs to do better.
August 2, 2024 at 2:42 pm #262756Fedde positions himself to come back out for the 5th with an efficient 4th. Assad likely done after 4.

jj-cf-stlParticipantWell, not what I wanted to see. Just got back from the range. Grandson & I put 450 rounds downrange. Appears I didn’t miss much.

ParticipantWell Pugs long time no hear.Just tuned in to see us 3 runs down.Caught the last 3 innings of last nights Helsley meltdown. On Ntl TV no less. Cubs acting like they just won the World Series. Probably would have been better to pull Helsley. Lot of wild pitches and couldn’t hit the bottom of the zone. Regardless lackluster performance today is no way to respond.
August 2, 2024 at 2:59 pm #262759Yeah I was so disappointed with the bronze paperweights with the sacks jammed I took the dog for a walk. That is exactly where the middle of the order needs pop open a can of thumpage.
August 2, 2024 at 3:03 pm #262760Wooster2
ParticipantGotta hit the gaps- hit it where they ain’t!
August 2, 2024 at 3:05 pm #262762Wooster2
ParticipantYou know Mason Winn was impressive last night- hes fast and hits the ball hard. Looks like he could be really good.
August 2, 2024 at 3:10 pm #262763So, we traded for another 5 inning start guy.
August 2, 2024 at 3:14 pm #262766Wooster2
ParticipantYeah Bling I had never heard of him before guys he got pulled when a fulfilled his era. Armstrong from the Rays had a good inning.
August 2, 2024 at 3:27 pm #262767
jj-cf-stlParticipantFedde was acquired on a small numbers success sample. We play a lot this month. We’ll see.
August 2, 2024 at 3:27 pm #262768You know what the difference is between us and the Cubs?
Answer: Not Much
August 2, 2024 at 3:29 pm #262769The biggest difference I see is they have 5 runs and we only have 1.
August 2, 2024 at 3:45 pm #262770Wooster2
ParticipantCubs don’t want to live dangerous like us.Walked in a run and pulled their pitcher.C’mon man!
August 2, 2024 at 3:51 pm #262771This is pathetic. Maybe they will hand us enough runs to win, we don’t seem interested in actually hitting with RISP.
August 2, 2024 at 3:57 pm #262772This team just can’t score runs. I keep asking over and over – IS THE HITTING COACH THE PROBLEM?????
Or are the players we have just not worth a sh~t?????
August 2, 2024 at 3:58 pm #262773Five walks in the inning including two RBI bases jammed BB’s. A team that swings the bat scores 8 or 9 runs.
August 2, 2024 at 4:02 pm #262774Wooster2
ParticipantPfffft…
August 2, 2024 at 4:04 pm #262775This series is shaping up to be about as enjoyable as a root canal. I see a lot of yardowrk in my future this weekend.
August 2, 2024 at 4:10 pm #262776Back to 2 games over even. This team just can’t break through.
