I’m expecting the FO to use the current depth chart, making the bench player the most vulnerable. Especially with Edman’s splits matching Carlsons’.

I’d prefer Carlson demoted, not traded. His value is rock bottom, and it’s hard to trust Edmans health now.

What one cannot assess from here is Carlson’s mental state. How is he dealing with the years of injuries and losing his job? Would going to Triple-A help or hurt?

I agree his value is low right now, but it could just as easily sink lower as it could improve. I will spare you all a reposting of his downward trend over the last three years.

I was not suggesting he shouldn’t be sent down. I was wondering if it would help or hurt. The current trajectory isn’t working. I bet we wish we all knew what would work best – keep, send down or trade.

Well, if Walkers in the same outfield daily, yah, there may be mental concerns for Dylan.
